Came with my husband and daughter. We had reservations so got seated right away. My husband had the burger and it was great. And I ordered the barbes royal and it was delicious! Will definitely go back!

EDIT: I called the restaurant the same day I noticed the charge and after I left the review. I decided to give them a chance to resolve this directly before I filed a chargeback. The person on the phone acknowledged that they had seen my review, had nothing else to really say to explain what could have happened/or defend themselves- only that a manager would get back to me within an hour. No one ever got back to me, not within an hour or at all. Just the most bizarre interaction I've ever had with a business that was clearly caught in the wrong.
We had a reservation for 8pm on a Friday. We arrived and were sat at 8pm. It was a typical Friday night but there were a few empty tables so it wasn’t SO busy that waiting 40 minutes to put in our food order was something that made much sense to us…
Multiple employees walked by and saw that we still had our menus and did not take our order or alert who I assumed was our server. I hesitate to write bad reviews for local businesses unless I feel as though they could really benefit from the feedback.
The service was slow, when the food arrived it was underwhelming/just okay but we ate it since it had been an hour+ since we were sat and we were hungry. The check came and we paid it and tipped on top of it. Apparently my 15% tip (I usually tip 20% on satisfactory service and more for excellent service) was not satisfactory to the staff because the transaction that posted on my credit card statement was $8.05 more than what I wrote and have on my customer copy of the receipt.
I gave $11.95 on $82 (okay not 15% but almost) and they gave themselves $20 (24.39%). Not sure how $11.95 gets mistaken for $20... so I’ll be disputing this with my credit card.
So come here if you want to be ignored, served mid food and on top of that overcharged because they think this service is worth a 24% tip, let alone any tip at all !!!!!!

Terrible food. I got steak and eggs for brunch and the steak, which was supposed to be medium rare, was a very cheap cut cooked grey inside. The eggs were slimy and almost as white as egg whites, very likely from a bag.
Extremely slow service. We waited over an hour for food, and had to go find our server multiple times, including to get the check. It wasn't even busy.
Very bad experience, will not be back.

This place is amazing, the food is extraordinary delicious, the price worth it, the staff is very friendly..i work in the area and went i saw it...i put my eyes on it and i wasn't wrong... live 🎶 🎵 ...the atmosphere is excellent. Congratulations to the owners!!! Definitely i will go back for my birthday, girls night out... i do a good reviews of this type of 5 🌟 restaurant ..they deserve it!!!

Excellent address. We came here around 5pm without reservation. Shout out to lalla Karima for her delicious recipes and the most delicious pastilla au lait I have ever tried. We had the barbes trio (zaalouk is a must), pois chiche salad, lamb couscous, and chicken pastilla💫 Everything was delightful

My mother and I visited Barbès for a Saturday brunch yesterday. We had never been. We decided to order the goat cheese and mushroom omelette and the watermelon feta salad and share. Omg. Best omelette ever. We liked it so much we ordered another one! Wonderful service- everything was delicious. We can’t wait to come back again!
