Stopped by here today with my sister. I've gotten better dumplings in the freezer aisle of the grocery store. Mine were scalding and her's were barely cooked. In my sister's words, "they were... Not good."Go somewhere else.

Decided to check out Brooklyn Dumpling Shop with my sister and friend. A cute little spot to grab quick bites such as dumplings, noodles, dessert and more! When we walked in, we were greeted by staff who gave us the run down on what to do. We ordered at the kiosks which I prefer anyways because I need photos. My sister and I ordered the GF and vegan cheeseburger and ginger chicken dumplings. We also ordered mac and cheese. They were pretty tasty, perfect for a quick snack while in the area. What makes this place cool is that you can scan your receipt and a "locker" opens up with your order in it. The experience eliminates the person to person contact entirely but there are staff to help if there are any issues.

Dumplings were ok, not that much flavor, but come on owner, fix your pricing structure. You really charge extra for a packet of kung pao sauce even though I already ordered the kung pao dumplings? Who’s not going to get the sauce….Makes the customer feel like they’re nickel and dimed. Won’t be back specifically for that reason.

Gabe made the atmosphere pleasant while we waited for our food. The customer service is top notch! Definitely coming back! Also dope playlist.

Horrible experience. They advertise something online, but the in-store offer is completely different. Bait and switch!

This was SO weird and I’m confused how this place is in business? We walked in and the employee working was sitting down eating with her legs up and the music was off. If it’s a break that’s fine but it felt weird like we were interrupting? Believe the reviews below. The food is absolutely terrible. The soup in the dumplings was so salty we had to throw it out, the noodles tasted like sugar and the Philly cheesesteak dumplings had no cheese? When we went to retrieve our food the door closed within ten seconds and we had to go into the kitchen to let them know we couldn’t access the food. We’ve never had a meal this bad in Hoboken and the service was bizarre and slow.

This place seems to be permanently closed for business. However they had no problem accepting my online food order and authorizing and capturing payment as if they actually made my food. The lights were off and door was locked when I showed up even though it was well within their posted business hours. Had to open a dispute with my credit card agency.

The food is okay, the service is super slow. For one plate of dumplings, I had to wait over 20mins.

I got an order of dumplings that were cold and half frozen on the inside, so obviously these dumplings were not freshly made on the spot.I ate inside the restaurant, so was also surprised they didn’t present the dumplings on a plate or steamer. The staff offered me a complementary dish and apologies, which was appreciated, but the experience left a sour taste in my mouth.

Believe the other negative reviews, you really are just paying for the novelty factor. It's 9 dollars for 5 dumplings as shown in the photo. The food is very underwhelming and extremely expensive. It's such a hard sale given it's next door to South lion dim sum. It's unbelievable slow considering they are pitching themselves as a grab and go place. I was the only customer there at 3pm on a weekday and it took them about 15mins to prep the order for just the dumplings. Wouldn't recommend, just go online and see a video is enough.

The soup dumplings were stuck together unflavorful and the broth was salty. The dumplings and edamame were probably the only edible thing we got. The noodles were overpowered by the veggies. If you want dumplings try going next door.

I've seen this Brooklyn Dumpling Shop on my feed for a few years now, so when they opened in Hoboken, I knew one day I would have to pay a visit.Upon arrival, the ambiance of the place was very nice. It was around 3PM, and I was the only one in the establishment. I followed the directions on the kiosk, and settled as a first-timer to try the Fried Pork Buns. One of the workers also helped me in making my choice, too, so kudos to her.The price for an order of dumplings is generally $7-8 per order. One of the quirks of this place is that they tend to have out-of-the-box dumplings, i.e., chicken parm, mac'n'cheese, reuben, and breakfast dumplings come to mind. However, you can't really try all of them...unless you're willing to shell out over $20 an order. I would've loved to try more --- even 2 pieces of each...but because how the menu is done on the self-kiosk, you remain limited.I got the fried pork buns with their famous peanut sauce after waiting about 8-10 minutes, and they were -decent-. They weren't amazing, as if something to crave for....but they were sincerely, -mid-. Maybe I need to come earlier, maybe I need to try it in Brooklyn, but alas, I was a bit disappointed.Maybe next time, I'll try other flavors, if there is a next time.Maybe someone change my mind?
