My Travels, My Stories

I'm on the hunt for a really good cappuccino. I've already been to a few places, but Bwe Kafe had some good reviews, so I decided to check it out and see if their cappuccino lives up to the hype. Not many people drink cappuccinos, so I wasn't sure if the reviews would necessarily cover that aspect.First off, I asked about the size of their small cappuccino and what type of cup they serve it in. To me, the size of the cup is the first clue as to whether they really know their cappuccinos. Hmm... turns out the small cappuccino was a whopping 12 ounces, which is obviously way too big. I asked for 8 ounces instead, but it seems I still ended up with 12 ounces, basically just a cup of milk. Based on that, I couldn't really judge if the coffee itself was any good, as all I could taste was milk.My husband ordered a small Americano, but what he got was a massive cup of coffee... Not exactly what he was expecting. Still, if you're into American-style coffee, it's a decent spot. It's small but cozy, though most people seem to come here with their laptops, giving it a bit of a library vibe. I wasn't sure if talking was allowed! On the bright side, the service was really nice. Overall, while Bwe Kafe might not be the best spot for cappuccino aficionados, it's a nice place for those who prefer American-style coffee.

Nice community cafe with friendly service and homey ambiance. The latte was well prepared and had good flavor. I would love for them to expand to the city so I can patronize them more often.

I've been a regular here for years and love that baristas are sweet and know my order. It's a great place for a quick coffee on the way to work or after the gym. I love that the owners are often there and engage with the customers. My only complaint is that the space gets a bit crowded and slightly hectic during rush times mostly because there are a bunch of regulars sitting by the door right in the area where you wait for your order. Other than that, great spot!

Great seasonal lattes, plenty of work spaces, tons of accessible parking, and smiley baristas - definitely pop in if you're in Hoboken and need a caffeine fix!!

Love this place! The coffee is delicious and there is lots of seating although it was super busy on a late Saturday morning. My husband loved his jelly donut too. We can't wait to return and possibly buy some beans for home. Such a cute cafe with great service, one of the best in Jersey City that I've been to.

Small cafe with a few tables inside and they had some seasonal flavors. I tried the apple pie cold brew latte with oatmilk based on the suggest from barista and it was pretty good! The other seasonal flavor was pumpkin spice latte. It was quite busy but it moves quickly. They have a few pastry options (like biscuit and scones) which I didn't try this time but they look good so will try when I go back!
