Gogi Grill used to be a frequently visited spot. Decent, quick Korean food options, good price points and food quality used to be good.

2025 March- just ordered my usual and was quite disappointed. Food here used to be semi authentic. What happened? Why have the spinach, cucumber side dishes change so that now they are raw vegetables (vs pickled versions which were authentic) now? The soon tofu soup here used to be decent, but now the soup tastes nothing like what it is supposed to be. I can also taste bulgogi in the soup, what abomination is this? The store name and logo changed, i assume the ownership (and the chef) also changed.

Needless to say, will not be ordering again. Used to eat like once a month from this place. Sad.

The place is decent. It’s nice to have something warm during the winter. The Stir Fried Bulgogi is good, not very oily. Given the price, I would hope to have more vegetables comes in the meal.

The restaurant was clean and the ingredients were fresh and delicious. The store staff were also friendly. The bubble tea was especially delicious. They say they offer free food delivery, so you might want to order something like Uber Eats.

We had a dinner meeting here at GOGI Grill. We had the Korean Bulgogi Bowl, which was very generous and delicious. In addition, the curry chicken and dumplings were also very good and I loved the curry and flavor. Finally, for dessert, we had the Brown Sugar Bubble Tea, which was the best bubble tea ever. The staff was friendly and the food came out quickly and was absolutely amazing.

Stormy night was the first time I visited the place. The food, service and atmosphere were much more worth traveling to the place. I bet the place can grow as big as Chipotle.

It seems like an ambiguous place for Korean tastes.

-The galbitang seems to have been cooked with a lot of care since the meat falls apart like tofu, but for some reason, the jalapeños give it a greenish smell, and what's more, the soup is not seasoned at all, so I can't eat it with rice.
-Soy sauce garlic seasoned chicken is delicious. I personally liked that the meat was light and the sauce was subtle. But one time, the sauce was completely missing in a delivery, so I called to inquire, and they said in poor English, “Then what can I do for you?” I wish they had added at least one word, “Sorry.”
-Kimchi fried rice is too tailored to American tastes, so it doesn’t taste spicy at all. The rice was soggy and didn't taste good.
-Dalgona Latte is a decent latte if you think of it as just a latte without dalgona, but it tasted like I wasn't sure where the dalgona flavor was mixed in.

My niece ordered a Boba Tea today 20th of October, ‘23. She had one sip and said it had no flavoring or taste. We went to the register and very nicely asked that it be exchanged for one that had taste and flavoring. The server behind the counter refused to exchange the Boba by saying my niece had to pay for another drink. We found the service discourteous and disrespectful. I answered that a chargeback will occur for a product that neither refunded or exchanged. I added a photo of the Boba drink to show it was barely drank.

If you're going for good Korean food, you'll be disappointed. Ordered the chicken Katsu and it was a really thin piece of chicken as if they split a chicken breast into two thin layers and gave you one layer. The chicken was overcooked; it's really dry and chewy. We also got the soup and rice combo. It was pretty good soup. The sides are not bad but overall the price was not worth it.Pretty expensive for food in general. (My two full meals was $40+)They're only one of a maybe two Korean spots in Hoboken, so you can only compare it with similar restaurants in Manhattan, Fort Lee, Palisades Park or anywhere else really. But comparisons aside, it's just not that great. The presentation and packaging is nice but the food is alright. Looks good in pictures.Kudos to them for the great marketing and presentation. It's all really nice but I wish they spent more on the quality of food and less on what it looks like. The presentation sets such a bar that when you eat it, you're disappointed.Maybe I'll try something else next time. The staff and service was good. They were accommodating and friendly.

Delish Korean food was still a little full from a late breakfast - but was so yummy that finished what I ordered (Gogi Burrito - only fusion option with a Lime Cilantro sauce on white rice with various vegetable Kimchis.
