Best coffee in Hoboken

V good drip, strong and a bit acidic. Nice staff. Tiny space, music’s not too loud which is nice, only 2 small tables inside. Lacking gluten free or sugar free baked goods, but the homemade donuts look delicious.

As a teacher, I treat myself every Friday to coffee out from a local coffee shop. I’ve been going to Hidden Grounds since the beginning of school! I am obsessed with their New Orleans cold brew - I want to learn to make it myself!

Overpriced nowhere to sit took forever

Randomly stopped by the morning of Mon, Sept 8, 2025… the food was pretty great, I got the Salmon avocado toast, Chicken Tikka sandwich, Taro Latte, and Honey Lavender Latte. I would actually recommend all of them - the chicken sandwich is a bit spicy, so be careful, I recommend having it for lunch rather than breakfast like I did :)

The only thing preventing me from giving it 5 stars is the woman (with glasses and darker hair) who was taking my order - she really seemed like she didn’t want to be there. I’ve worked at cafes before, so I get that you might not get great service all the time, but she didn’t smile once, didn’t say hi, nor did she say thank you. That was a bit of a downer

Best cold brew I have ever had by miles. I dream about it daily. A bit steep but quality. They could improve the staff attitude a bit but that won’t stop me from coming.

A really nice café, with lots of options to choose from. I had my first bagel with cream cheese and salmon of this trip here, so maybe that’s why I remember it so fondly – but it really was very good. I also tried a pistachio and cardamom bun – also delicious. A small and cozy little spot. It was great!

If I could rate this higher than 5 stars I would! We have been coming here for years and have tried just about every sandwich on the menu. The coffee is perfection (iced latte is my go to)! My personal favorite sandwich is the Savory Bagel sandwich, which has the most perfect combination of textures and unique flavors. The vibe of the cafe is cool, the music is great and the staff is even cooler! Highly recommend, can’t say enough about this hidden gem in Hoboken.

I’ve been to a lot of different coffee shops in Hoboken now, and in my opinion Hidden Grounds has the best cappuccino around here. You can tell the baristas really put in effort into making every drink perfect. The croissants and the cardamom buns are really good, and the honey bee latte is my favorite drink on their menu!

They can’t handle more than 3 people in the coffee shop, we waited 20 minutes for the coffee this morning. The staff lazy, slow and lethargic. I’m never coming back again.

Fantastic, creative, delicious coffee. New Orleans brew is phenomenal. Highly recommend this place. They have oat/almond milk.

This shop is adorable. They have dog treats in a jar for their customers. There’s a little, miniature replica of the shop on the counter. The food and beverages are BEYOND. But the best asset to the company is Destiny. She is extremely professional, warm, and compassionate. She is a gem! Please keep this in mind when it’s time for bonuses! : )

bought an avocado bagel like 120pm while having lunch @ my job I found a long brunette hair in my sandwich this is not good
