Not very friendly, I went with my laptop and felt very lost! I have been to a couple of cafés to work as I wfh, this one did not have the vibe.

The hot sweet caramel brew is hands down my fave coffee from anywhere. So creamy delicious and sprinkling of cinnamon. Ive also had a choc chip cookie occasionally which has a hint of see salt & the perfect chewy consistency.

So this is the coffee + donut + sandwich situation. There are a couple cafes in Hoboken that I frequent regularly and produce top notch artisan coffee, and Hidden Grounds is one of them. I also adore their rose cardamom donut, which was gorgeous upon first glance and heavenly to devour. Moist & flavorful with pistachios and cardamom = donut heaven. Secondly, their chicken tikka sandwich has become a local staple by now, since I suppose I am quite a local and frequent this place often enough. But the sandwich is good though.

Not only does this place have some of the worst coffee I’ve ever had, but the sanitary conditions are definitely health code violations. I went to the bathroom here and there are cockroaches all over with sewage on the floor. I told the barista and they said it’s been a problem for a few weeks and they couldn’t solve it. INSANE.
