I’ve lived in Hoboken for over a decade and different sushi places have been my go to but I’d never feel satisfied with the quality. I recently started getting sushi from Illuzion and it is hands down not just the best sushi in Hoboken, but some of the best sushi I’ve ever had. The quality of their food far surpasses any other sushi restaurant in the area. They use the freshest ingredients and give good portion sizes. It’s consistently delicious and you can tell they take pride in their food. This is the only place I’ve been going to for sushi for the past few months and will continue to be the only one. To top that, the staff that works there are extremely friendly and create a very warm environment anytime you go in. Highly recommend!!

Watch your sushi be prepared while you are waited on by a very attentive staff. The food was incredible and had a great presentation. The seating is a little tight but we had plenty of space during our visit.

The Tokyo sushi and sashimi is NOT worth it. Twice the price and not much better. The 2 high price items in the selection, snow crab and lobster, were particularly unimpressive and the lobster was old, chewy and really not good. I mentioned it and the server just looked at me and disappeared.Standard sushi is fine, but the upscale stuff is a waste of money.

I'm a fan of Sashimi... And this was my go to spot while I was in Hoboken. Not just because they offered a phenomenal sampling of choice fish in the Sashimi Deluxe, but the second time I went, I hadn't realized I had arrived after the kitchen had closed. They were INCREDIBLE, the chef wasn't to far yet, they called him back in, which made me so unconfortable, but they all seemed genuinely happy to accommodate my late night craving of raw fish.The great food is a reason we like a restaurant, the extra attention is why we love it. Kudos to the entire staff, you made my evening on my last night in Hoboken.
