There are two things on Jefferson coffee at Madison that have correlations ,Baristas behaviors and coffee quality.They are both pretty much similarly amazing.Now for coffee I would not say the daily coffee that have both medium and dark roast are my first choice since their ground fresh latte or Americanos taste much much better. But they have great choices of milk too. And you can guy round coffee or other drinks from their small refrigerator. Or sit behind one of the three tables and look how snow has changed Hoboken white.If I have only one complaint , and this has been same since first time came here maybe a few years ago, is that their menu doesn’t have the price , similar to the other location. But you know what they have in common, those cute wood tables. Add a bit of ancient taste and voila it’s Jefferson at Madison, the name says it, doesn’t?I have seen my share of occasional frustrations with barista when there is one person only working with a seemingly infinite line and takes forever to brew a small cup of coffee, but that also says they care about their customers satisfaction, so I take it on customers who stay for a while to order something simple.So a five star for me could be a three or lower star for you but hey we all get unlucky sometimes don’t we?

The one person working there told me she was new and couldn’t make any of them because she didn’t know how.Word of advice: don’t hire new people and leave them alone untrained before they’re ready. I will not be returning to this coffee shop. I felt that my question asking whether the flavors of the coffees were vegan or not was dismissed by one of the staff members. I then felt a little rushed to decide what to order so I decided on a chai latte instead and a staff member who may have been new held up a carton asking if it was OK; I just looked at it quickly. She said it was unsweetened. I felt she was trying to be helpful, but the other staff member was dismissive and seemed a bit annoyed and not focused. So when I left the café and sipped the latte, I realized it tasted funny, and when I I got to my car, I realized that it may have had a sweetener in it, which I would never normally agree to. The taste was a bit nauseating. If the woman who suggested it was in training or new, she deserved more patience for the other staff member, and so did I.

This coffee shop is located in an apt/condo complex on the corner across the street from ShopRite. I stopped in while I was waiting on a friend to arrive in town. The person working was friendly. I ordered an iced coffee with cold foam and an almond croissant and sat outside on a little table and chair. Both items were tasty but nothing incredible. The inside is small but there is a decent amount of seating and the ambiance is clean and welcoming.

Really cute place with a wide variety of coffees. I had their iced latte, was delicious and I felt instantly refreshed. The staff at counter was professional, accommodating and the service was quick. There were folks reading a book and chilling, wish I could do that. Overall would highly recommend this place, I enjoyed my experience.

They have a variety of pastries: pistachio cookie (which I had and loved), marble cake, pumpkin loaf, coffee cake, macaroons. They also have some cold drinks. There’s indoor and outdoor seating. Also the place looks very clean and the music that was playing was very soothing and not too loud. I think it’s a great place to grab coffee with friends.

Rude arrogant manager. They weren’t accepting card payments because their POS was down and I wasn’t informed until after I ordered and received my drink and I had no form of cash payment. The barista working there seemed very stressed and overwhelmed at the situation. I asked if I could Zelle or Apple Pay someone. He called the manager and the manager randomly came in and didn’t even apologize for the inconvenience. He tried to fix the POS and after a minute or so he asked if we had Venmo. There were other customers present and he let the male customer leave without paying and told him “you can pay when you come back,” but had me standing there trying to figure out how to pay for their inconvenience and fault. Still at this moment he hadn’t even apologized or acknowledged my presence. The barista working the bar had to offer to pay for my drink because he could see how uncomfortable the situation was. Eventually, I just had to go out my way and download Venmo to pay him his $3. Even then he made no apology for the inconvenience on his part.
