I’ve been to Luca Brasi’s a few times in the past out of convenience. Once you try another place in town, you don’t willingly come back.
Since my favorite place closed, I came back here out of convenience. I waited a good 5 minutes to have my order taken. The guy was quickly helping all the older men in the place get their meals and then walked away. That’s fine, I figured he was doing something in the back for a moment. I’m still waiting, patiently, to order my sandwich. Then some old guy comes bumbling in (the type of uncle you try to stay away from during the holidays, but he keeps getting invited out of necessity). The employee comes back to the counter, so I step closer to place my order. Instead, the guy points to the geezer behind me and starts taking his order, refusing to even make eye contact with me to acknowledge that I’ve been standing there waiting to be helped.
I didn’t even like coming here to begin with, but that’s the nail in the coffin for me. What a gross experience. Women, take your money elsewhere.
