This place has quickly become Hoboken’s best cafe among so many here. Not only are the drinks perfectly balanced and delicious, the food is also of exceptional quality for a cafe. You can clearly tell there’s a professional chef in the kitchen working his magic / curating the menu. Mile Square Cafe is a true neighborhood gem you have to visit when in Hoboken!
We stayed in Hoboken for 4 days. We just so happened to come across this cafe on our first morning there— incredible coffee (I like that they don’t make anything over-sweetened), delicious food, and a cozy atmosphere. My son spilled chocolate milk all over the floor and the manager, Shirley, jumped to our rescue and treated him so kindly and gently, and told him not to worry as she cleaned up his huge mess. We have spilled a lot of things in restaurants (we have 3 kids) but...
Sourdough Focaccia Cinnamon Bread is maybe the most truly fulfilling sweet treat I have ever consumed. It's that serious. The birria goes stupid. I mean the only comparable one I can think off taste wise is off of a random truck in Jackson Heights. The quality is impeccable. The whole menu is a favorite, so choosing is akin to betraying the others. It's simple, filling, worldly, flavorful. Love !
