Best penne vodka I have ever had ! We had a Sunday brunch . Arrived at 11:00
And the place filled in quickly . Enjoyed the Bloody Mary and Kane’s head High . Can’t wait to return. The rest had the burgers and were all happy

Nice pub, good bartenders and decor. The TVs are wayyyyy too loud. Asked the bartender about it, “that’s how the owner likes it”. Well he needs to come spend a night sitting in his bar seats in front of his speakers 😂 , my Apple Watch was alerting to noise as well, it’s too loud. But a great bar otherwise. We stayed for one to escape the sound unfortunately but would’ve loved to stay on another night with no American football over the TV speakers.

Service was non-existent without having to keep getting up and finding someone. Friendly staff, maybe just a super busy night. Strongly do not recommend the “loaded” nachos and the vegetarian burger.

Great Hoboken neighborhood restaurant. Good food (get the Buffalo shrimp w Bleu cheese). Doesn't crowd patrons w nicely spaced tables. Welcoming/quick wait staff. We'll be back

I had heard so many great comments about the burger at O'Nieals and I had high expectations which don't usually live up to them, but this burger was out of this world. I asked for it to be well done which I usually do and it's dry, but this was perfectly juicy. Ernesto was the best host and he had great recommendations, and Mason was a wonderful hostess. Thank you for a great dinner experience!

I've been a loyal customer of O'Neil's for quite some time, dining here once or twice a week. I have to say, the service remains exceptional, especially with Dara, Mason, and Nick always going above and beyond. They’re truly phenomenal and consistently provide a great experience.

However, I've noticed the kitchen has been slacking lately. Meals that used to come out in a timely fashion have now taken upwards of an hour to arrive. Additionally, portion sizes—especially the sides like fries and potatoes—have noticeably reduced, almost cut in half compared to what they used to be.

I hope these issues are just temporary kinks that can be worked out soon because I genuinely enjoy this place and want to keep coming back. With a bit more attention from the kitchen, O'Neil's could easily be back to its top-notch standard.

Classic corner pub type of place- outside seating looked nice but we sat in the bar where your eardrums get blown out.

After hearing rave reviews about their burger I was pretty thoroughly disappointed by mine (I ordered The John Wayne). Apart from being super undercooked after twice asking for the burger to be cooked medium well / well, the bun was soaked, the bacon was scant, and the onion strings they promised and confirmed during ordering were replaced with fries.

I don’t want to bash the service too much, our waitress was friendly and attentive, but the errors with my order maybe could have been prevented if she wrote things down. The place seemed mildly understaffed in general and the staff all seemed overworked and stressed.

However, their vodka sauce was the best I’ve ever had in my life. Makes zero sense for an Irish pub to have vodka sauce this good. As disappointed as I was with the overall experience, I’d go back tomorrow and the next day for the vodka sauce. Got it with shrimp as an appetizer for the table and it set my world on fire and is the only reason why this review isn’t a 1 or 2 star. I will be back for this lol.

Great food, atmosphere and service. The crab cake sandwich was good and the fries were amazing. I would definitely come back here and try the Mac & cheese.

They have one of the best burgers in the city and a good beer selection. Most of their other food is OK, but one thing that seems to be popular here is in my opinion not appetizing: the penne alla vodka. Service is good. The patio faces Church Square Park, which is really nice.

Besides the burger and the location, the thing I like the most about this place is the fact that it's open for lunch. Lots of similar places in the city don't bother with the lunch crowd.
