I am writing this review because I'm very disappointed in this place I had reservations with my girlfriend for her birthday. No one gave me a call or notified me that it was a private party if I didn't had called before hand to try to get there at an early time I wouldn't of known that my reservation was canceled Without me even , I was very disappointed and had to figure out what to do with my girlfriend for her surprise. At the end of the day they told me they couldn't do anything for me and they apologize that they didn't call me that the system didn't notify the people that were making reservations online, it was already booked

I went to the speakeasy bar for the first time with my friend around 10:30pm on a Friday and it was empty. They asked us if we had a reservation, which we didn't. A lady, who wasn't very friendly, told us to talk to the host upstairs to see if we could get a table. The host was okay and let us sit. But then, we were asked to move to a different table, as we started to put our bags down, which we did. Even though the bar was empty and there were 3 workers, nobody came to take our order for 15 minutes, so I had to go to the bar to order our drinks. The only time one of the workers talked to us was to say the bar was closing soon. We were the only customers there all night! I would have understood if it was busy, but it wasn't, and good service is really important to me. This place didn't make me feel welcome or taken care of, so I won't be going back.

Check my reviews - I only ever leave 5 star reviews - this service deserves 1 star. Beware booking a reservation here. Made a reservation on a rainy Saturday 3/2/24 at 930am for 830pm party of 4. Called them at 4:15pm (google says it opens at 4pm) to inform them one person in our party is sick and we cannot make it, also sent them a message on Resy. Manager insisted on charging me a $20 cancellation fee PER PERSON. Kindly requested her repeatedly not to charge a cancellation fee, she was rude and said they are going to charge it. Dude, you guys are a tequila bar in HOBOKEN, no venue I have EVER booked a res at has ever charged me a cancellation fee especially when I have the courtesy to call hours in advance. Trash service trash people never going here.

I came here to celebrate my birthday. From the moment we were led to the door of the speakeasy I knew the experience would be top tier. The chicharrones appetizer was terrific, cocktails were crafted with care. So delicious! I can't wait to go back.
I've never been to a speakeasy before and I have to say, I really, really enjoyed it. Planed a surprise date and it was a success. Ambiance, music, food and drinks were all spot on.

Amazing experience. New and the best cocktail bar in NJ. Each signature cocktails were very thought through, and definitely there is a vibe in this bar. Bartender Mariano is the most talented and the kindest man on earth. His hospitality was second to none. Will visit again for sure.

Honestly it's not what i expected. It was uncomfortable to sit since there's only stools. The music is super loud so you have to scream if you want to be heard by the person in front of you. The drinks are great but overpriced. You're basically paying for the presentation. And it looks like a glorified basement

The service here is really not professional or organized with your reservations. The person who was seating us made us feel like they’re doing us a favor . The seating is really uncomfortable, super close to one another and Most seats don’t have back support so you don’t feel like you can stay for more then one cocktail . The cocktails were amazing tho and the servers were really nice too .

Worst service. Had a reservation, arrived early and they were not at all communicating with us. So waited for an hour for our seats which never happened. Will never go back!!Ps they give you checks at bar without the tab BUT add in Gratuity..make sure you review your receipt!
Food and drinks were absolutely amazing! Every single meal we ordered arrived warm and hot. Drinks did not feel generic and had a unique flavor to all of them. Would 100% recommend for night out.
