Happy to have this Spanish restaurant in Hoboken. It has an great selection of authentic Spanish dishes. It's a clean, open and nicely decorated restaurant, great for groups and families. It has a great outdoor dining area although currently the building is being renovated so the outside area is limited. Staff is friendly and professional.

Let me start my sayings the food and sangria were incredible. Our service was not (although the other servers seemed to be okay). We started with the sangria flight and then ordered a bunch of tapas - patatas bravas - empanadas - meatball - montaditos (steak sliders) When the tapas came we were brought a full churrasco entree. When we let the server know we had ordered the montaditos not the full out churassco entree (very different names) he replied "well they're both steak". And then walked away. We proceeded to not eat the $38 churrasco as we had not ordered it. At the end of the meal when the bill came he kept it on the bill. When confronting him he argued back with us as opposed to admitting the mistake. Another server had to step in and say it would be resolved. This was really a buzz kill on my date having to resolve billing issues that shouldn't have existed in the first place. All of that said the food we did try was amazing and hopefully they retrain that server in customer service. I would return again for a second chance.

Food was amazing. Our server brought us the wrong meal and insisted we ordered it.. even though he had repeated our order back to us correctly. Trying to charge us $36 for a full steak instead of the tapas for $12. When we brought it up he became combative which was awkward. Other than that great the food was great sangria was great

I went here last week and the food was delish. Highly recommend the red sangria. Sangria is family friends and the staff is wonderful. This place is a GEM! I will be back for sure.

Came here on a Saturday evening with 3 friends. I had made a reservation so we were promptly seated upon arrival. The location is quite nice offering indoor and outdoor seating. We opted to sit indoors as the temps were in the 90s. We noticed immediately that the AC was on quite low and we felt a little warm and uncomfortable inside. There was 90s music playing by an emo cover band (recorded not live thankfully) which was quite depressing. The music could have been a little livelier. Aside from the warm indoors and depressing music, the staff were very friendly and attentive. We ordered flights of sangria, the garlic shrimp, and codfish fritters tapas. We all enjoyed the tapas. Food was great. The sangria left much to be desired. The flight comes with a traditional red, a melon (cantaloupe), peach, and orange sangria. The orange and peach were unanimously not a favorite. The red and melon/cantaloupe was quite refreshing on a hot day. I just wish the cantaloupe was ripe and not sour. The restaurant is named Sangria, and for their flights not to be 100% on target is a fatal flaw. Please work on your drinks. I now understand why the restaurant was so empty on a Saturday night.

The sangria samplers are a great deal. Went for a date night and service was sparse. Granted, a lot of restaurants are facing short staff issues. The steak was great and we regret only ordering the appetizer size. For sure will get the entrée version next time. The paella was just ok. It didn't stand out . For happy hour with friends ? Appetizers and drinks are generous.

The food is really good here. They might be a little understaffed because the service can be a little slow, but overall I enjoyed everything I ordered and I really liked the cucumber sangria. Will definitely come back.

I don't know if the staff is new, or it is just bad management. Don't get me wrong, the staff is nice and friendly, but do everything wrong. The drinks are poor, their margarita and other drinks like their matador, or any standard fare are all made weak and badly. For example: We order a Madras, and the bar used coke instead of cranberry (and the waiter insisted it was prepared correctly) / after all they button has the letter "c" on the dispenser - - - did not notice the drink was orange-brown instead of orange-red - - - this is training. Maybe their crowd is local and there are few options, but really ... not good. The tapas, uses very high-quality foods; the chorizo, steak, and seafood are very fresh, but they are simply not put together in an appealing manner. , . like the scallops are on a fresh avocado slice (good), but on top of lettuce and tomato? Or the Empanadas, come with an avocado sauce that seems to relate to avocado in no discernable manner. On the other hand, all the food ingredients appear to be fresh and top quality. So if the chief would just adjust the preparation, they can be a serious winner. There is also the bar - get someone to teach them how to make drinks! Then Sangria Hoboken will be on the way to 4 stars.

Food was served in shifts, half of our family watched the other half eat. Brunch was barely edible.

A wonderful edition to Hoboken, and finally a worthy restaurant to break the curse of that location. Staff is friendly and welcoming, food is INSANELY GOOD, drinks are creative and delicious. My family and I have tried one of everything on the menu, it's all great. Perfect place for a big group, lots of small plates and tapas to share

Ive been here twice as of yet. Food is good. The red sangria is the best. The service is always great, and the food come out quick and delicious. I will absolutely be back!

Sangria was very good, definitely true to the establishment's namesake. We each ordered a flight to ourself and enjoyed the variety of flavors. The food was solid but the Brussel sprouts could have used a bit more seasoning or time in the cook. Desert (flan, crème brûlée and churros) were delicious.

MICE, MICE, MICEI just CANNOT understand the amount of good reviews. I visited Sangria for the first time last week. We went for dinner on a Thursday. There were maybe other 10-15people in total.Food was okay, drinks were okay. But… oh god. I am not exaggerating when I say, I saw MICE run by, at least 18 times TOTAL in a span of 30minutes.Staff noticed that we saw the situation and they ended up giving us a discount and free drinks. I have to say, the only good thing about this place is waiters. They were super nice to us even given the circumstances. But this is absolutely disgusting and unacceptable for a restaurant. Absolutely never going back and do not recommend at all.

Good food and good service. The ambiance is warm and the staff is friendly. I have not yet brought my pups but I heard they are dog friendly. Recommend: Chicken Croquettes Aguacate Relleno
