I like this bar a lot, but for a while now, it randomly closes hours early. For example, last Thursday the bartender had already done last call before 11:15pm. And tonight, the place is lights out before 10:15pm. It makes it tough to count on this place to be a go to bar, because it’s frustrating to walk to a place that says it’ll be open, and then it’s closed.

I hosted my husband’s 40th birthday at Schmitty’s. Working with Amanda pre, during, and post event was seamless. Chris and Mary were also wonderful to work with during the party. All were very warm and engaging. Schmitty’s provided a low key and comfortable environment for all to enjoy the occasion. The backyard space was perfect for a more intimate gathering. I would highly recommend this location for your next celebration.

We recently hosted my husband’s birthday at Schmitty’s and I couldn’t recommend it enough. My husband wanted something low key and local and it was the perfect place. Amanda made things so easy—she made suggestions from everything to set up, food options (we used Otok) as well as specialty drinks (which they made custom signs for). They were very accommodating and truly made sure every last detail was taken care of! I would highly recommend if you’re looking to host an event or party.

i threw a 30th birthday with about 40 friends and family and couldn’t emphasize enough that you should do any of your get together at Schmitty’s with Amanda and her crew! The staff at Schmitty’s is the best and they provided the best atmosphere and were so helpful with everything for our party so we could enjoy the time with our friends and family! cannot rave enough about Amanda and Schmitty’s and how awesome having an event there was!

My partner and I had been going to Schmitty's for some time and love it there, so when we were looking for a space to celebrate the after-party for our wedding we knew it would be a perfect place. Amanda was so incredibly helpful and accommodating, but I should have expected nothing less given the staff always being so great. We were able to order in some food after a few drinks and the outside space was the perfect size for our guests and dog. Schmitty's has been my go-to bar to hang out at, but now I know how well an event can go there as well!

They are very welcoming to everyone and as well as your furry child which I love! Great German beers on tap. Also great place to watch sports. They have a fun DJ who is interactive and plays a very cool mix of songs. They don’t serve food but they brought in 6 ft. Subs 2 times that I showed up which they offered and passed around to everyone which I thought was awesome! My favorite dog bar!
My fiancé planned a surprise engagement celebration for us in the back yard at Schmitty’s and it was absolutely perfect. Amanda was so attentive leading up to the day and once we were there, the entire staff was so accommodating. Mark and Mary went above and beyond for us! We were so happy to celebrate at the bar that has become our go-to spot in Hoboken!

Schmittys is perfect for an everyday drink and also a private event. Just hosted a double 30th birthday here and everything went so smoothly. Our guests loved the spot and were able to utilize the back patio. Being able to rent the entire bar, bring our dogs, and have food delivered easily won us over. Highly recommend this bar and reserving for an event!! Amanda and team were amazing, thank you again!

From trivia on Tuesdays, watching Penn State games on Saturdays, to NFL Sundays you are always guaranteed to have a great time surrounded by even greater people.
