First time going there safe to say won’t be going back , cupcakes are overpriced for the size and taste like cardboard, dry no flavor and tasters stale .

I visited this bake shop twice and ordered many different varieties of cupcakes. Sorry to say they were not the best. Some were dry, some were stale. I enjoyed maybe 1 or 2, but they were way overpriced. I want something delicious in every bite for that cost.

Decided to get a few cupcakes to try for my birthday yesterday and wasn't impressed. The cupcakes were dry and didn't have much flavor, the icing was decent. I got the champagne, oreo, and chocolate with peanut butter icing. The champagne was my least favorite and the oreo cake just tasted like plain vanilla. The chocolate with peanut butter icing was the best of the 3 and not as dry as the other two. I was glad I got the mini ones instead of the regular size, not worth the price, but even the minis were pricey.

Shoutout to Marcela! I am a former 25+ year Hoboken resident and I’m not in town as often, but it happened to be cheat day, I was in the area, and made my way to Sweet. I got there at closing time, and saw Marcela lock the doors. I saw her come out the side door and I asked from my car if she’d be willing to take one more customer. Marcela did not hesitate, she told me to come back around, she’ll take care of me and she did. I went from bummed out to cheesing with joy. Thanks Marcela!

Love Sweet and their creative team! My boyfriend ordered cupcakes for my birthday and showed some inspiration pictures of a vintage heart design for them. The team was excited to try it out, and they came out amazing! Tasted great and looked beautiful ❤️❤️❤️

The best cupcake in Hoboken and arguably NYC! I have a crazy sweet tooth and have tried many places, specifically for cupcakes. The icing to cake ratio is chefs kiss (for someone who loveeees icing), and the cake bottoms are such a nice consistency. I love Magnolia but tend to think their cake can be pretty dry, which I have not experienced at Sweet! Love that they also offer gluten free treats as I have friends w celiac. Bonus points for being close to the park and pup friendly at the order counter. Overall 11/10 experience and cakes :)

We’ve been going to Sweet for years, so choosing them for our wedding cake was an easy decision. We placed our order about a month in advance and included some inspiration pictures for the design. We picked up our single-tier, 10-inch, 3-layer carrot cake with cream cheese frosting the day before our wedding in NYC. Two months later, I still can’t stop thinking about how delicious it was! It was beautiful, absolutely delicious, and a huge hit. We definitely recommend Sweet and will be back for more of that carrot cake!
