The Lola Review:

Food was solid—salmon’s on the smaller side but fresh and well-seasoned. Asparagus was cooked right, and that orange sauce under everything? Bussin’. Portion size might not hit for a big guy like me, but I’d still give it a 9/10.

Now the issue: I gave the waitress $100 for an $82 tab. No change came. After 10 mins, I asked—she claimed the bill was $104 (??) and didn’t bother coming back to collect the “$4 I owed.” Said she brushed it off. Then asked if I still wanted my change.

I got $20 back after pointing it out, but honestly—it’s about the principle. Always check your bill and speak up. Some folks mess up their own tips assuming the wrong things.

Our waitress Ariana if went above and beyond to make our experience unforgettable. She was warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. From making great menu recommendations to checking in at just the right times, her service was seamless. You can tell she really cares about her guests. People like her make dining out feel special — we’ll definitely be back. Thank you again!

We came to Lola’s in Hoboken as a group of eight, initially impressed by the restaurant’s aesthetic and upbeat music. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives ended.

From the start, service was painfully slow. It took over an hour just to receive our drinks which were margaritas that were part of a dinner special. When they finally arrived, they were almost undrinkable. I was served a pitcher of what was supposed to be a strawberry margarita, but it tasted more like a Shirley Temple.

We waited another full hour just to place our food order. My wife and I asked for the ribeye, which was also part of the special, only to be told they had run out. The waitress suggested we could “order steak as a side,” which made absolutely no sense.

Once we were finally able to order, the food arrived relatively quickly but by then, we had already been there for over two hours. Throughout the entire visit, our waitress checked on us only once, and we were given just one pitcher of water to share among eight people.

It was clear the staff were more focused on blowing bubbles and setting up birthday signs than on actually serving customers. The place was poorly managed, and the service was unacceptably bad.

I wouldn’t recommend Lola’s to anyone. It’s a shame we spent our money on such a disappointing experience. I sincerely hope management reads this and makes some serious changes.

Went last night and our friend had a reservation for 9 people at 10PM for their bottomless drinks + dinner. They called us at 957 and told us the kitchen was closed at 10, why call us 3 minutes before if you had the whole day? We got there and the hostess was extremely rude when we discussed our reservation. 100% take a look at the other reviews too and stay far away from this garbage dump.

I came to Lola in Hoboken with a group to celebrate my birthday after being promised the “birthday package,” which was supposed to include a free round of drinks with champagne and sparklers. Not only did they completely fail to mention or offer it at any point during the day, but when I politely brought it up at the end of the dinner, the staff got nasty and acted like I was trying to scam them. Totally unprofessional and honestly embarrassing behavior.

As for the food — don’t even bother. They gave us four tiny cheese cubes and one thin slice of prosciutto on a $30 “charcuterie board” with rotten pesto and tried to pass it off as upscale. It was laughable. The rest of the food was bland and borderline inedible, served on plates that looked like old car hubcaps.

Between the cheap portions, rude service, and overall tacky vibe, this place is far from the “elevated” experience they pretend to offer. Definitely not worth the hype or your money.

I recently visited The Lola in Hoboken, and unfortunately, it did not live up to expectations. We started with the cheese board, when it came out, there were a couple of cheese cubes that looked like they came from Costco thrown on a platter with a couple pieces of brown salami, not to mention the spoiled pesto on top of only 2 small slices of mozzarella. They actually sent out 2 fresh mozzarella balls to compensate because they knew the pesto was an issue.
The “ribeye” with eggs was another letdown. Instead of a hearty cut of meat, I received thinly filleted steaks that were overcooked, fatty, and lacked flavor. For foodies, this place is definitely not worth the visit. While it may serve mimosas and offer a few photo opportunities, the ambiance still fails to make up for the lackluster food. Overall, The Lola struck me as a low-class establishment, and I won’t be returning. I do NOT recommend.
