No food here hence the one star for food.Other than that, can't say enough good things about the place. Ultimately the quality of a bar comes down to one thing, the staff. All these guys and gals behind the bar are great, never really have to wait for a drink, they're very amiable and fun to chat with. I've found the door staff to be courteous.Open pool table in front and bar games in the back, the people in here are very good so your game better be on point. Dog friendly so bring some bacon for Oreo.I'm an older curmudgeonly type so I leave before it turns into the nightclub scene so won't comment how it is after the seats get taken away which is always done with a please and a thank you from the door staff.

Bouncers outside the club are rude and very disrespectful. They took cover charges from us and made us wait in line for long time. I do get, it might get annoying to handle a huge crowd but at least those bouncers should have basic manners to be respectful towards their customers.

The Shannon is a lively bar with great DJs. The cover charge for guys ranges between $10-$20 on weekend nights, the vibrant atmosphere and good music make it worth the money.

Lady serving the bar by the entrance on weekends super rude & borderline scary. Was sitting, she came & asked what I want. I said water & she went off on me loudly about how she is super busy rn & I won’t be getting any water. To the extent that I was flabbergasted for a good minute lol. Ok? You literally asked what I wanted lol. So tip-hungry.So I got up & went to the bar on the dance floor & a different dude politely gave me water, I tipped him & we both were happy at the end of the day, albeit, me a little less.Tragic experience bcoz I actually liked this place. Oh well, plenty more places in Hoboken.

$30 cover for a Hoboken bar is hilarious ? played yourselves. If you’re paying a cover anywhere in Hoboken you’re crazy. Way too many options for this. $5-10 May be passable but $30 ??♂️
