Perfect for private events! We hosted our son’s 1st birthday party at The Shepherd & the Knucklehead and couldn’t recommend it more. Joe was amazing to work with, making booking, planning and day-of seamless. The staff was so helpful and friendly, and the food and drinks were awesome. The space is had enough room for the babies to play and the guests to spread out. We can’t wait to do another event here!

The Shepherd and The Knucklehead was the perfect spot for a birthday celebration/football watch party! The owner was incredibly helpful and pulled everything together with just 36 hours notice after our original plan fell through. The team was super accommodating and flexible, the food was delicious, and the service was awesome. We had the best time and would highly recommend!

I hosted my 30th birthday at the Shepherd and it was great! The space was decorated and perfect for a big group. Joe was very easy to work with and made the planning process seamless!

Table was taken away while sitting there. Server said she 'needed it for another group'. Loud.

We had our daughter's first birthday party at Shepard and Knucklehead and everything was excellent. Joe and his team were incredibly helpful and responsive during planning which truly helped everything come together seamlessly. Joe also had great recommended vendors for a soft playspace and balloons, which were wonderful. The venue allows for kids to be kids, and adults to be adults which is truly all you can ask for during a first birthday! All our guests commented on how great the food, layout, and service is - we'll be coming back for more birthdays :)

Hosted a birthday party here and it was great! The food platters were set up before arrival, and the space at the front of the bar was perfect. Service was very attentive throughout. Highly recommend!

I recently hosted my birthday here with about 30 friends and it was perfect! Joe and his staff were amazing—super responsive, friendly, and very accommodating throughout the whole process. They set us up with our own private area, which made it feel both casual and special at the same time, and made it super easy for everyone to hang out. The drinks were great, the service was excellent, and they offered the option of doing an open or cash bar, which was a huge plus. Couldn’t have asked for a better spot to celebrate—highly recommend for group events!

We’ve hosted events at the shepherd and the knucklehead before and will be back!! We held a corporate event here last week and had a great time. The staff is kind and fast - they even boxed up our extra catering to take home. The food was great and many stayed past the event end to watch Thursday night football

We had two of our buddies who celebrated their 50th birthday there on Sat Sept 20th. We had about 10 of us and the food was really good and the drinks were solid and the atmosphere awesome!

There was a band that played thru the night that was fun and a bunch of tv's for those who wanted to keep an eye on the games!

After our hours having some of the back tables were done they had I think what was a 25th birthday going on afterwards.

Good mix of younger and older there! I will be heading back at some point before the end of year and I think we'll probably have another celebration or two there again eventually too!

Joseph the owner is awesome and Cesar and the people there are nice!

Hosted my husband’s PhD grad party here and felt well taken care of by Joe and his staff! We got a fantastic deal for a semi private space, an optional open bar, and delicious late night food. Joe was incredibly responsive and his staff was so accommodating. Everyone had a wonderful time. Heard compliments about the music, the drinks, and the boneless buffalo wings. Will definitely keep Shep in mind for future events. :)

If you want a cake for your party, I recommend getting one delivered straight to the bar from Ivory Baking Co! They are a 4 min walk away and very easy to work with. Handed the cake off to Joe’s team at no additional cost.

If I could give 10 stars, I would! Had my 40th birthday party here and it was amazing. Joe communicated exceptionally well throughout the process and gave us a ton flexibility as to how we wanted to go about the open bar and food. The service when we arrived and for the duration of the night was beyond our expectations. DJ was a nice surprise. If you are looking to book a private event, look no further!
