Went in there the other day when I seen the special for the chicken cutlet sandwich in the front and I must say, that was the best chicken cutlet I’ve had in a long time. Will definitely be coming back here often! Prices and food were phenomenal

I have been to il Mercato a number of times to pick up some prepared items and they never disappoint! I wanted to do something special for a lunch for my staff and ordered the wrap platter and picked it up today. It was ready on time, plentiful and looked beautiful! Everyone on my team (and me!) LOVED the wraps. They were absolutely delicious and they were stuffed. This wasn't a 3/4 wrap and 1/4 filling kind of situation! The grilled vegetable wrap was a favorite as was the chicken with peppers and mozzarella. I also got a side of the mediterranean pasta salad (one of my favorite prepared items I regularly pick up). Everyone raved about it! If you need something catered or a special lunch option for your team (or a gathering), this is the place to go! Thank you, il Mercato for a delicious experience that made for a special lunch.

I recently purchased a chicken sub at this location, and it was absolutely amazing and reasonably priced. The employees were super friendly and the store was very clean and filled with fresh and delicious Italian food. I will be back.

This was our first year catering our Thanksgiving meal from Il Mercato and it will be our forever place for as long as it is offered!
We have been catering Thanksgiving for 9 years now and bounce around from place to place because we're never thrilled with the meal. That was definitely NOT the case this year!! Every single part of our package was delicious! We enjoyed Sweet Potato Casserole, Sausage Stuffing, Stuffed Mushrooms, Beggars Purses, all the fixings, dessert and of course the turkey! I can't say enough about how delicious it all was!
We were also able to pick up a few items in store which were equally amazing! Highly recommend the stuffed artichokes, bruschetta and fresh Italian bread!
We haven't stopped telling anyone who will listen about how great everything was and we are already looking forward to next year!

Visited for the first time and was very pleased. Very modern, but with a old market feel. We had breakfast while waiting for our chicken cutlet and Italian heros. Breakfast was very good, and the heros were a hit at the tailgate. Thanks Mark! We'll be back.
As a Holmdel resident, would love to see more business like iL Mercato open in our community- fantastic sandwiches!

Their food is actually amazing. From sandwiches to cold deli pastas to their catered meals. We’ve tried them all in several variations and am here to tell you… this is the best deli within 5 miles, minimum.
