Went on Mother’s Day. I wasn’t busy at all(only 2tables busy) so it was a little concerning. We ordered anyway. We were waiting for an hour for appetizer. Calamari were rubbery and terrible.
Chicken was old and smelly. Potatoes were probably from can or from powder. Even pierogi were bad. We ate very little and still had FOOD POISONING next day.
We were in this bistro last year and food was delicious so we were very disappointed with what we get this time.
I was very excited to go there but after that experience never going back and don’t recommend that to anyone

Responding to owner comment-
I was not angry I was disappointed.
I did not had another venue booked.
I had to look for another one after we all get sick. It was very difficult and stressful situation for me. I had to pay more money for different one and I preferred to loose my deposit than get anyone else sick. I hope you will change quality of the food and wish you nothing but best.

Had dinner on Saturday night and the place was relatively empty. It took 15 minutes to place our order and then food came out about 35 minutes after that. The Chicken Francaise came with three very large pieces of chicken and was good. I got the fish and chips. The three small pieces of fish were over cooked. the fish came on top of a PLATE FULL OF SHOESTRING FRIES. enough for 4-6 people, and about half the fries looked like they had gone in the fryer twice. They need to put in some sound dampening like some short walls as it can get very loud even with few people eating.

Had a great experience at Byram-Bay Bistro! The food was clean, tasty, and well-prepared. The dining area was beautifully set up with nice tables and a welcoming atmosphere. This is exactly what I hope to see in every restaurant—great food and a clean, comfortable space. Highly recommend!

A hidden gem in Hopatcong! The food was fresh and delicious. The ambiance is inviting and charming as was the friendly staff. While there isn’t a specific gluten free menu, the owner and chef went over my options and were open to accommodating my gluten allergy. A great experience 👍👍 I think we’ve found our new favorite restaurant.

I had dinner at Byram Bay Bistro last Saturday and it was a fantastic experience. The food was incredible—highly recommend the Polish sampler, the Bistro Burger, and the salmon dishes. Each one was flavorful and beautifully prepared.
Even though there was a sudden rush of guests and orders took a bit longer than usual, Frank kept us updated the entire time. His communication and attentiveness really stood out and made the evening enjoyable.
I believe in supporting local businesses, and Byram Bay Bistro is a true gem with its unique twist on cuisine and warm atmosphere. I’ll definitely be booking my private birthday party here soon. Frank is amazing!

I just threw my daughters sweet 16 party at Byram Bay Bistro. The food was excellent, everything made fresh. The atmosphere was warm cozy and classic, perfect for any occasion or family function. The staff and service was so amzaing and freindly. They made sure my family and our guests were well taken care of. Such a gem that I'm so glad I found. Thanks to Chef Mike's helpful suggestions and ideas throughout the entire process of planning, as well as attentiveness to what I was trying to accomplish, not to mention the amazing meal we all loved, we were able to create a beautiful memory that she and her freinds will never forget. If your looking for a party venue or just a beautiful restaurant with great food and people who make you feel like your apart of their family, this is the place!

Me and my fiancé went to the establishment in early January, the host was exceptionally polite and very attentive. We got their sampler and ordered the Rasta pasta and the Bistro Burger and the food was absolutely amazing. The experience truly made our weekend and we were even able to meet the owner of the restaurant. Can’t wait to visit again!

Treat yourself and dine in at this delicious hidden gem in the Byram Stanhope area! It is WORTH the drive from the Morristown, Parsippany, Randolph, and Newton areas!!!!!! The atmosphere is SO QUAINT !! Chef Mike is nice and jokes with clientele. David my waiter made sure that my service is excellent. The panko chicken is truly the BEST breaded chicken that I have ever tasted! The arugula is delightful (in lieu of iceberg lettuce which is so diner style). The chef prepares generous portions! I had more chicken than would fit in my sandwich!! This is the perfect local spot for a group gathering with the hospitality of staff that are part of the community. This is New York Style Hip tucked away in Byram! Skip the drive to the city and eat local here at Byram Bay Bistro!

The food here is PERFECT!! We had such a wonderful meal on our first night at Lake Hopatcong that we wanted to come back a second night. I wish we had because no where else was as good as Byram Bay. The pierogies, chicken and seafood were all fantastic. I didn’t see that there is a water view here but honestly it’s not even worth going to the water view places that have sub par food when you can come here and have the best meal.

Fabulous restaurant! The food was delicious, very fresh and enjoyable. Had a baby shower there for my daughter-in-law. Everyone raved about the food. Portions were very generous. The perogies, potato pancakes and goulash were amazing and that is coming from a Polish family. The deserts were generous portions and were just as amazing as the rest of the food. Chef Mike was very personable, friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. What an amazing chef! Highly recommend this restaurant. Look forward to going back when visiting in the area.

So I waited to try a local place with high hopes .
Place is a bit loud being a wide open floor plan . I do like the new design just a bit loud being. On to the food . I will say this as a PSA . If you have a salt restriction you will not be happy . Most dishes seemed to be to salty. My mother who coats everything in salt stated to salty . Not a criticism just a person perception . Had mushroom soup . Very very tasty . Bit high it seemed in sodium . Mom had the jerk shrimp . They were great . Had a very nice spice to them . I had the burger and was tasty and cooked perfect . Brother in law had hunters stew and he enjoyed it .
Not slamming a local business just giving a honest opinion . Staff or owners seem to be very attentive and I hope they make a good good it . All local businesses see. To be struggling and I hope these are not a deterrent to going just ask before you order .
