Ordered roast beef pannini and a side of Mac and Cheese. What i received was a roast beef on pita bread and the Mac $ Cheese looked like it was microwaved straight out of the box.
I would honestly give them a 1 star but the owner was nice enough to come out and explain that he does not have a pannini presser and instead uses pita bread. Fine by me I guess, just dont call it a pannini!!!
He offered to switch the Mac and cheese.

The only way to get better is to hear the truth. Food was horrible. I could tell the ingredients were not fresh! Also the fish is not fresh! I repeat the fish and the shrimp are not fresh!! Very mid!! Hopefully I can re visit review in the future an things will be different. Stay tuned!

They up-charged us for asking for no butter on the hamburger bun and cooking it well done. They said it’s a “special instruction”. And we got charged for asking for no butter on the toast that comes with the omelette. That was also considered “special instruction”. That comes to an additional approximate 15% of our total bill because we didn’t want butter and asked for a well-done hamburger. And I know that seems ridiculous because no other restaurant has ever charged for things like this. And no, there were no additional items added to our bill.
And when I finally got my order, they still put butter on it. We will never order from this place again.

My wife and I are on the #eatjersey challenge to have a meal in all 564 towns of NJ. We chose The Hopatcong Diner for Hopatcong, our 128th town.
Dessert is a meal, and that's what we had here at the diner! Jersey diners are known for their large dessert cases with oversized cakes and all sorts of delicious pastries.
We enjoyed some coffee & tea along with Apple Pie w/vanilla ice cream and a piece of Flan.
The service was poor, my server never came around to refill my soda and I never took away my soup bowl. The meatballs were so full of gristle I had to struggle with every bite.
