If you are going to ask how do you want your hamburger cooked, then bring them out with something indicating how it’s cooked. Three burgers ordered, one rare as possible, two medium rare. They all came out looking like the burger in the corner of your grill that was forgot about all night. Well done would be a word, or annihilated would be more accurate. First time trying The Beacon. The bartender who took my order was fabulous, the food not so much. I ordered fettuccine with mussels in a white wine, herbs and garlic.(I requested extra) sauce. The mussels were plentiful and sweet. The fettuccine did not have any flavor except for butter and a little wine. Very disappointed.
The Beacon was so accommodating since I planned my entire wedding dinner within a month. I needed as few headaches as possible. Edna coordinated everything! The staff was very polite and attentive. Everyone LOVED the food and atmosphere. I will be coming in regularly to try the other dishes on the menu and maybe a little line dancing.

Oysters were different with a great unique presentation, and excellent. An oyster shooter was amazing looking and a great tasting Bloody Mary. A buffalo chicken wrap and a shrimp ceasar salad were so good. The restaurant is dog friendly.
