Burrito Bowl Mexican Grill

Burrito bowl was a decent place to get some American Mexican food. It’s like chipotle but cleaner, less salty and I believe more natural. If you are in a hurry and need a quick fix then this place is ok.

In short, food is good, atmosphere could use some work.

Ive lived here my entire life and I can say I've seen a whole lot of spots come and go from this space. I think the spot is just cursed, this pmace *seems* like it would have a lot of traffic but alot of folks overlook the fact that this place is a sleeper community, folks live here and work elsewhere, not a crazy amount of people living here and working here as far as I can tell.

That all being said, with work from home snd yadda yadda changing environment, this place could probably stick around longer than rhe stay gold cafe, and I hope it does. I really dont want to see another tenant move into this slot just to go belly up 4 years down the line.

The food is good (its a bowl/chipotle style place, dont go in expecting the worlds most authentic or obscure mezican food)

The big killer is atmosphere. Its not their fault but just something about the windows or the storefront, or the decor..? I really cant put my finger on it but the places feels kind of *exposed* to sit in at. Like im in the middle of field, I think its the windows but the very minimalistic inside isnt helping either.Maybe putting in some curtains or something? Not sure, but the big thing is actually trying to get some personality into the place.

Other than the Ram cafe , which I cant reallt speak about as I havent been, there isnt a single sit down place in this town (Not since Rivoli's imploded at least, man I miss that place). I wouldnt say this would be the spot to take that mantle, but that doesnt mean it should be totally just, cold?

Overall, decent spot with food thats good, judt needs to come into its own, assuming that tge owners want to do that

I recently had the pleasure of trying a steak burrito bowl and a chicken quesadilla, and both were absolutely delicious! The steak bowl was packed with flavor, with tender pieces of steak perfectly seasoned and paired with fresh toppings like crisp lettuce, tangy salsa, and creamy guacamole. The rice and beans balanced everything out, making each bite satisfying.

The chicken quesadilla was equally impressive. The chicken was juicy and well-seasoned, while the cheese was melted to perfection, creating that ideal gooey texture. The quesadilla was served with a side of salsa and sour cream, adding a nice zing to every bite.

Me and my family go there all the time, and every time we go, we always have to ask for them to add more food to our order due to them being stingy. Their customer service is horrible. I expect to get the amount of food I’m charged for and that just isn’t the case. I went to speak to one of the managers about how he gave me an attitude when I asked for more food, and I was told not to come back, so I won’t. He was very racist; there were people of the opposite race treated a lot better than I was. The food is not that good for this kind of treatment.

A hidden gem in Howell Ramtown, closer to Brick actually always neat and fresher tasting meats definitely. The guy running it also a very humble guy to talk to and saw him offering discounts to the police officers. Portion size good enough it fills you ??

Two bowls and chips with gauc came out to be $36 who in there right mind is going to pay that much for mediocre bowls with 0 flavor. Last time I will be there.

Been to this place a few times over the past year. Always pleased with the freshness of the food and the quality is on point. Got a steak bowl with numerous toppings and the pickled onions were great on it. Cilantro was fresh. Rice was perfectly cooked. Also got a pork empanada which was also absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend this place to anyone craving an awesome lunch or dinner.
