The service was the best thing about China Moon. The young man who helped me was extremely kind and very helpful. This is no longer an eat in restaurant to it is take out only so the atmosphere leaves much to be desired. The food was hot but not the best they've ever made.
I came to this place because of the name. There was a “China Moon” (Fanwood, NJ) that I used to order from, when I lived in Somerset County. Their food was about as good as you can get. The family and I are originally from the Bronx. There was none better! Fanwood’s China Moon is tops for Somerset County. China Moon is a hidden gem in Howell. Maybe it isn’t so hidden since the place was packed for take out orders. The general tso’s chicken was crunchy and not overally spicy. The pork fried rice was also solid. The food overall was good. This may be my go to spot in the area.
