It’s pretty much an automatic 5 stars when you simply have delicious food, hearty portions, a great vibe, and good service! But the real reason this place is amazing is that in a small way fish grill transports you out of the hussle bustle, cut throat environment one can sometimes feel in Lakewood. every time I have been it’s decently quiet and you can enjoy a little breathing room…… sadly unlike lots of other restaurants here in Lakewood.

If you’ve ever wondered what happens when a heimish kitchen and a yacht decide to open a restaurant together — welcome to Fish Grill Lakewood.
First of all, the ambiance here is chef’s kiss. You walk in and instantly feel like you accidentally boarded a cruise ship — minus the seasickness and plus way better hashgacha. Clean, bright, nautical vibes… I half expected someone to hand me a life vest with my menu.
Now, let’s talk about the food, because that’s where Fish Grill does serious avodah:
🔥 The salmon? Next level. It’s grilled so perfectly that I’m convinced someone back there has a mashgiach whose only job is to make sure the salmon achieves its full potential in life. Juicy, flavorful, zero fishiness — it’s practically a tzaddik.
🍝 The famous salmon pasta? Listen. There are people in this town who would willingly stand through a 40-minute shmues just to get a plate of that stuff. Creamy, rich, and the kind of comfort food that cures stress you didn’t even know you had.
🍟 The sides? The fries are addictive, the rice is somehow always fluffy, and the dipping sauces are basically an entire personality.
Staff? Friendly, patient, and shockingly calm even when the place is hopping and someone’s trying to order for a whole simcha on one receipt.
A small PSA: 🚶♂️ Seating is upstairs, and there’s no elevator… so prepare to walk up a few steps. Consider it your pre-meal exercise — a little mitzvah katanah before the big mitzvah of eating good food.
Bottom line: If you love fish, or food, or being happy in general, Fish Grill Lakewood is a win. Great flavors, generous portions, clean place, chill vibes… It’s basically the closest thing Lakewood has to a beach vacation.
Highly recommend. I left full, satisfied, and questioning why I don’t eat here more often.
