But then came the letdown. The woman taking orders needs a serious attitude check. If I’m about to spend $50 on two sandwiches, the last thing I expect is to be met with rudeness and cold energy. I walked in smiling and chipper, and she killed that vibe immediately. I wanted to walk out, but my husband was hungry—he regretted staying.
Now let’s talk about the food. The corn and pastrami sandwich didn’t live up to the price tag. It lacked flavor, and the meat didn’t feel like the high-quality cuts you'd expect from a place charging premium prices. I've had way better elsewhere.
People work hard for their money. Spending it should feel like a treat, not a punishment. You can have a clean, nice-looking spot, but if your front-line staff can’t treat paying customers with basic courtesy—and your food doesn’t back the hype—what’s the point?

Over priced and over rated. I try to support our people but they the ones who be trying to rob you…. Don’t get me wrong the pastrami sandwich I had was good, but I had to pay 50 Cent extra for a round roll to Dallas extra for some coleslaw on my sandwich. My husband got the corned beef two extra dollars for one slice of cheese. He said his sandwich was pretty good. But It was not enough. Two sandwiches cost me $42. I will not be back.

I will never ever recommend anyone to go there cause i came in to place an order the music was so loud in the back the girl at the front window stuck her head out the hole to talk to me and i was like really what kind of customer service is this and i was asking her about the meat was is fresh or processed she look at me in straight confuse like she couldn't explain anything and was it halah meat or none halah still no answer so i just said thank you and walk out and never ever again will i go there and me as Muslim support my Muslims, but i don't no whether that was a Muslim restaurant are not, but the service truly suck.

I saw the advertisement on IG reels. Thought to myself give it a try. My travel has taken me over the globe and I always seek a Pastrami or Corned Beef sandwich to compare to Katzs deli. Which is A1 in NYC.To my surprise I give this Pastrami Sandwich #1 In N.J.Bypass the old landmark store downtown Newark that sells Pastrami on Halsey st.There is a New King in town it's Abbys Deli. Just do it!You won't be disappointed the Pastrami and Rye was absolutely a delight to eat.This sandwich was delicious. Take my word for it.

Tbh it's a tad overrated. They have a great selection of specialty sandwiches but it's low key doin too much lol. The sandwiches themselves are a nice size very flavorful and prepared well. But be prepared to wait almost a half of an hour per sandwich idk if they were just backed up on orders or what but the wait time is ridiculous. Beyond that the prices are high key outrageous mind you they do make quality sandwiches and you get what you pay for but in comparison to places that also have high quality ingredients and also have been affected by inflation these prices are quite high. I think I paid almost $50 for 2 sandwiches and waited about 45min for them. This one of those spots where u just really gotta be in the mood for.
