If anyone wants to eat good food and have good customer service, go to bon appétit restaurant in Irvington. That the only Haitian restaurants that have humble staff. They are on point.

I ordered the poulet chicken and a oxtail plate the chicken was good however my oxtail and rice plate was a RICE and oxtail plate.. wasn’t really much flavor on the little bit of oxtail i had but the chicken i ordered was good

I'm not from NJ, but I accidentally drove 40 mns to this place because I was craving haitian food. All I can say is I was not disappointed!
It started with their customer service, because when I realized how far it was and wanted to cancel, they offered to drive it to me, which I declined but was nice of them nonetheless.
The food was fresh, super delicious and on the large order, they give you enough food to feed you twice. The macaroni salad was great, duri djondjon was awesome and the Tasso kabrit was excellent. If you're in Irvington or close by, this is one spot that I'd definitely recommend!

We drove 40 mns to Bon Appétit Caribbean on a Saturday afternoon. I was not disappointed!Great customer service.The food was fresh, super delicious, i ordered a large duri Djondjon with chicken, they gave me enough food to feed 2 people. The macaroni salad was great, duri djondjon was awesome, and the chicken was well seasoned.The next day i went, i got again a large duri Djondjon and fried turkey, Once again, everything was DELICIOUS. If you're in Irvington or close by, this is one spot that I'd definitely recommend! They have REAL SEASONED HAITIAN FOOD

I called this establishment because I was craving Labouyi which is difficult to find in restaurants and the owner stated that she doesn’t usually make it because it’s rarely requested but would make it anyways within a half an hour. I arrived with my husband and she also made him breakfast. Everything was great and fantastic customer service. I will be returning Thanks.

The best Haitian food around! Got our Jan 1 food here and it was all delicious. The djon djon and griot were especially standouts. Highly recommend!
