Placed an order at Cynthia’s Bakery, only for it to be canceled without explanation. No communication, no reason—just canceled. This isn’t the first time I’ve experienced this with Caribbean restaurants. If items aren’t available, they shouldn’t be on the menu. Frustrating and very avoidable.
bake and saltfish was full of salt with a huge bun - needed to desalt fish; vegetarian roti skin was thin as paper; roti skins were a big block of dough - disgusting; patties were falling apart; what happened to the cook, since i have been coming and never received such horrible food! You got to do better!

Oh no no no, I just moved to the neighborhood and was craving curry shrimp so I decided to give this place a try. I was better off taking the trip to New York and getting real curry. First off the doubles were so doughy and thick and dry had no flavor whatsoever. The curry was a bright yellow, and it looked like dhal It tasted like curry powder with water. It was so watery. It did not taste like nothing no spice no seasoning no nothing. The buss up was doughy not flaky what so ever. VERY DISAPPOINTED! All of these reviews are all liars. They didn’t even give me peppa sauce.
Love 💘 tht curry 🍛 goat rotti.. my favorite dish
Shrimp Roti reminds me of Suzy's in Brooklyn
The best!
They have great food - doubles and shrimp roti are excellent. I'm going back for the chicken patties. Delicious!

I've hit up Cynthia's more times than my waistband can handle, and let me tell you, the food is consistently amazing—mouthwatering, always the same great quality, and they serve portions big enough to make your grandma proud. Cynthia's is nothing like Chipotle when it comes to portion size; you won't leave hungry! Plus, the service is so good, I half expect them to roll out a red carpet for me.
I live out of state, but whenever I'm off to the airport, I call ahead either the same day or the day before, and they always hook me up. I used to detour all the way to Queens for some grub before flying out of Newark. But ever since I found Cynthia's, Queens is dead to me! I've saved $40 in tolls, and you bet I spend every dime of it on more Cynthia's food. Honestly, it's the best investment I've ever made—my stomach and I couldn't be happier!
Vegetarian options: Doubles, roti, lentil peas soup (Tuesday), and many more.

Everything is delicious!!!
I have used this restaurant a few times. The quality of the food has changed.,The roti is a bit dry a few times. The roti skin is very thin and crumbles. The split peas are dry and too overwhelming a quantity. Too much sugar in the dough and meat. I remove all of the crumble and use a knife and fork to eat. That is the only way I can eat it. I hope they go back to how they cooked a few years ago.
