PRICE GOUGING FOR HOSTESS BRAND ITEMS.....This review is about the Hostess Company Brand. Recently, I purchased a package of Hostess Chocolate Cupcakes which consisted of 8 cream filled cupcakes which cost $3.79 + tax. To my surprise, when I open the box I realized that the cupcakes are now half the size of what they were a year ago. They were so small that I could fit one whole cupcake in my mouth. That's nearly 50 cents per cupcake for this product. Save your money and boycott Hostess until they lower their prices to be fairly in line with their products. This high pricing is to keep the CEO, CFO & COO and other executives of Hostess continue earning 7 digit salaries just to run a bread company. Fight the fight to lower consumer prices to be more in line with their products...
