03/3/2025 MY food was horrible the jerk pork was dry an rice was dry the young man tried to tell me something I already no wen I always order my jerk pork with oxtail gravey over everything he gave me wat he wanted me to have poor customer service 👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿

Don’t waste your money this food was very bland I don’t know how they got 4.5 stars but no flavor on the cabbage . Cabbage dry this definitely was not worth almost $30 . I’m very disappointed because I was so hungry I didn’t even finish it because it was so dry . Then the guy in the restaurant took his nice slow time handing me my food . Mind you my food was already packed up to be handed to me . Also I did 2 order and the other order was flavorless so really I paid $50 for this . A waste of money !

Honestly disappointed with the food. Was very excited to try a new spot near my home since my move to Newark. It is just not like the food where I’m from (Linden NJ) the oxtail were extremely fattening. One bite into every oxtail came with 2/3 of fat. It is obvious the meat was not well cleaned or the fat is kept in tact to make it seem like the meat is more than what they are giving you. The gravy was spoiled. As I took my first bite, a smell arose from the meat and the gravy. As eating my boyfriend came to me with his jerk chicken platter and said he thinks the meat is spoiled. I told him I think it’s the gravy and we had no discussion together about it so it is crazy we both noticed that the oxtail meat and gravy was spoiled. (He had oxtail gravy poured over his jerk disk) the gravy is also very oily. I know browning calls for oil & sugar but that was very excessive. The rice is just a plain dry rice. Nothing special about it. I also asked for no cabbage on both dishes and they clearly put the cabbage and took it out of the same container and packed it in the same container they just took the cabbage out of. We saw the left over cabbage they didn’t wipe off inside the container. Just very disappointing experience. Will continue searching for a spot.

Jerk chicken has no flavor! Asked for oxtail gravy & taste nothing…. Disappointed

I ordered through UberEat. Jerk Chicken, curry chicken and curry goat. The curry dishes were good as per my wife and daughter. I had the jerk Chicken it was bad. Naturally, I expected it to spicy and tasty. Big disappointment. It was not spicy, but is was a bit sweet, like added sugar. It was also dry and tough. It seems like it was cooked 3 days ago. I had higher expectations.

Ordered a mini pork… let’s just say I would never order from here again. HORRIBLE! Pork has no taste, no flavor, no seasoning, but the burnt taste from the grill. One side of the pork black and burnt and the sauce they put on it doesn’t help either it’s bitter and has no taste.VERY disappointing 19 dollars I wish I could get back!!!

Just Jerk served ok Jamaican Food was shocked the price for oxtail meal was $35 for lunch. Too expensive for one meal. Was very disappointed in the pricing will never spend that much for one meal at Just Jerk again.

First thing let me just say if you’re a real Jamaican this chicken is not it . They burn the chicken until it’s dry and tasteless . They jerk sauce taste nasty . Don’t let the smell catch u . A big waste of money . Don’t buy !!!!!

The service was nice. But the food was not. The rice had sat there long enough and was very dry.
Also they did not want to sell the chicken without side because they were afraid of running out. It’s unheard of.
The chicken was dry as well and the sauce ( which I said put on the side) was bitter.
I only gave it two stars because of the service.

I was just disappointed with what I received for 24.00. I have been to different places where I have got more food than that for that same price. While I will still go to the restaurant, I won't be getting their oxtails again.
