Good food! But bad customer service. No wonder why no other kathyawadi restaurant can beat kathyawadi kitchen in Sayreville. All the employees were wearing horribly dirty cloths, cleanliness was a rare quality in the restaurant and in bathroom. And employees were just hanging out and straight up ignoring customers instead of providing an excellent service. I asked for channa subji the guy brings me chole channa instead of desi channa subji lol. I’m not sure if even employees knows what food is what.

Recently dined in after reading all the reviews. Having an unlimited thali option for dinner is very nice. However the experience is not as expected. First of all, the service is not great. They can improve their service a lot. It takes some time to get a table. There are three thali options- Punjabi, Khatiyawadi and Gujarati. They could not exactly bring those authentic flavors. Curries lacked soul somewhat. Chapati and paratha are good. Their kadai paneer and daal are great. Their buttermilk is also very good. Rest all are either average or subpar. You can try once if you have cravings.

Came in this yogurt sauce with chili sauce and fresh condiments like onion and cilantro .

One thing I feel specific indian kathiavadi culture, I don’t know owner or cook, she comes personally to each person and asking about taste and requirements, I never saw this in my life, not even in back in India. Food is tasty and delicious! I will love to go again and again.
