Had just bought some Diwali snacks. We were absolutely disappointed with the quality of their products. The gujiya known as ghughra were hard dry and tasteless. The suwari was flat and tasteless dry and not flaky at all. Never fresh.

Update (October 2025): Chowpatty Made It Right After an Initial Mix-Up
I want to update my review to reflect how Chowpatty handled the situation. After my earlier experience, the store personally reached out, sincerely apologized, and invited me to visit. When I stopped by, they replaced the Diwali hamper with a beautifully updated one and even added another box of sweets as a gesture of goodwill. The staff was kind, professional, and genuinely sorry for what had happened.
Mistakes can happen, what really matters is how a business responds. I truly appreciate that Chowpatty took responsibility and went out of their way to make things right. Thank you for your courtesy and for restoring the spirit of Diwali. ———————————- My wife’s boss, who is not Indian but very thoughtful, ordered a Diwali hamper from this store to surprise us. It cost about $60 and was supposed to include dry fruits. When we opened the box, it was completely empty, not a single item inside.
I immediately called the store twice and followed up with an email, including photos of the empty box. It has now been more than 24 hours since I first contacted them, and there has been no effort to make things right.
This was meant to be a kind Diwali gesture from someone who went out of her way to celebrate our culture ,and it’s honestly embarrassing to have to explain that the gift box arrived empty. Mistakes can happen, but what’s disappointing is the lack of ownership and follow-up.
I truly hope the store’s management addresses this and resolves the situation. Until then, I would caution others about ordering gift hampers here, especially for special occasions.

The halwas, the anjeer log and the anjeer barfi were great, especially the anjeer sweets had no added sugar. The nylon sev was too oily. The spicy thick sev was inedible as it was too hot. The packaging and delivery is excellent.
