Awful. Shrimp scampi with a gooey, thick, sticky overcooked linguine. I only ate a taste and left it. Egg plant parm same overcooked linguine which you couldn't separate from the parm. They took 3/4 of the parm to pack for take out but they threw it out by mistake. Gave us the bill, told us to pay at the register as they were closing. 7:30pm. We asked if we were getting desert that was included in the "special". It was brought to us packaged up to go ...we were visiting and planned on enjoying our family. While at the register, we realized we left the rice pudding on the table we turned back and the table was cleared. Pudding gone. Waited for a replacement. Roast beef was good. Value not there, 2 out of 3 meals total disappointment. Service sadly lacking. No one to asked us why there was so much food on our plates at the end We have plenty of diners back home thank goodness nothing like this.

Food was good, waitress was prompt, but the place is filthy, it has changed, the floor is gross an all around needs to be dusted an cleaned. Especially the ornaments hanging from the ceiling.

So I want to start off by saying I so want to love Jackson Diner as their food is pretty good in my opinion. I must have ordered from Jackson Diner at least a half dozen times. Two times in the past through door dash. There was no issues at all. My third order was a online order which was prepaid, which I picked up, and the young lady handed me my order no problem when I told her my name. Around my fourth time I ordered over my phone online which was prepaid, as my family and I was almost home from vacation. When I entered the diner an older gentleman stared me down as if I was out of place which made me uncomfortable. I told him that I did a online order and I told him my name. He proceeded to ask to see the order on my phone, stared at me once again, and then the receipt. I felt like he thought I was trying to take someone else order. In my head I tried to give him the benefit of doubt. Finally in the last two weeks I attempted to order twice through door dash from them. The last time which was today. Both orders were cancelled by Jackson Diner. Even though it clearly states on door dash that they accept orders up to 7:05pm.
Both of these orders were made well before the cut off time. If Jackson Diner does not want to fulfill Door Dash orders, they should remove themselves from the app. So I'm done with Jackson Diner, I'm not going to beg anyone to take my hard earned money. There are other places that would gladly like my business.

While the environment was nice and accommodating the food and service were god awful! I went for a classic diner experience and i was craving a diner burger so i got the memphis which was a burger topped with pull pork and cheese which was actually not half bad but a few bites in the center felt off and when i looked at it i saw my burger was raw in the middle and not the medium rare kind of raw but the pink uncooked ground beef kind of raw and honestly i would have finished but with all the bacteria in food nowadays one could never be sure so i discarded my burger and the onion rings were the worst ive ever had, on top of all this we ordered milkshakes with our food and the shakes arrived after we were all done! And the waiters were no where to be found up front and took forever to come around with both food and general service! Personally wouldn’t come here again and thats a shame because i truly love diner experiences but this one was the worst! On top the food was over 60$ and we aren’t really from new jersey we are from new york where food goes both ways but this was a bad experience and hope for future reference they fix upon this comment

The waitress seemed new and had to double-check our order. After leaving the table. Yes, I would go back as it had that old 60s feeling inside.

Amazing fish (flounder) dinner and a friendly staff. The kids loved the wings and fries so we will definitely be back.
Kid-friendliness: Plastic cups with tops and lots to enjoy looking at the decor.

Enjoyed a turkey club sandwich with fries and a cup of beef barley soup. Delicious. Fries were done to perfection (I like them dark and extra crispy). Waitress was very friendly and attentive. She let us know that she had a large party to attend to and checked to make sure that we were taken care of and not rushed.
