Very underwhelming. Since it had good reviews I gave it a shot but was ultimately disappointed.Food:Ordered the Jumbo Chicken Dinner, says in their menu that it comes with Cranberry sauce and Parker House Roll. When I tried to sub the sauce for mayo I was told it no longer comes with the sauce and they don't have mayo, when I picked up my order the Parker Roll was nowhere to be found. The chicken was super overcooked and very dry as if double cooked, flavor was underwhelming.Size wise, it was very small portions, the chicken was all small pieces, and the fries was just a small hand full of fries.Place:The place was super outdated, which in some cases would be okay. But, in this case was awful. Everything was very dirty and even the POS seemed like it was from when they first opened.Everything else was just dirty. Very repulsive place to be honest. When I brought that fact up with the employee, he shrugged it off saying that their base clientele is older people who like it just the way it is.Well, you could at least clean for them, just saying. Will surely not be going back.

The best fried chicken I have eaten so far in the USA, the gentleman who serves is very friendly, the place takes you back to the 70s, the chicken is very fresh and has good flavor.

My usual is a 10 piece dark meat (legs & thighs). I think this is the best fried chicken in town. Better than Popeyes and the other big chains. Prices have certainly gone up the last 3 years but that's because of inflation and supply chain disruptions.

Pros: good ole fried food.Cons: too expensive for typically cheap food $27 for 3 items. It was no better than kennedys fried chicken. And the food took long.

Don't worry about the curb appeal. The food is great. No place to sit buy at a long time fan, you won't be disappointed.

I chose Chicken Galore as my birthday dinner yesterday. I have always enjoyed the chicken and ribs from the Woodbridge location for easily 30 years. Being closer to the Kearny locationI thought we would try it out. I must say that I was very disappointed in my choice, especially since we purchased food for 6 people. Ribs and chicken were overcooked and dry. Appetizer combo was mushy and tasteless. Although I will not be recommending this location, I may try them again. Everyone deserves a second chance.

I cannot believe I'm actually saying this but the place is unbelievably horrible. I am a lifelong resident of kearny. we've been there hundreds of times in my 40 years on this planet and it is gone so far downhill is not even funny. listen the place was never cheap to begin with but they are a ripoff in every sense of the word now the economy is so bad and things cost so much more. the thighs are smaller than I've ever seen in my entire life as well as the wings. the breasts smaller without question and even the legs were smaller than they used to be. the breading is the same but there's not enough of it on there. the ribs have the membrane left inside there were pieces of it that you thought were food but we're nothing more than bone basically. the rib changed or they have another sauce whatever it is that they gave us instead that was barbecue sauce thick sweet disgusting like a hickory kind of a barbecue sauce that you would buy inside how's the supermarket like a shoprite. the rib sauce that you guys all know is much thinner we got none of that we got a couple of the small things of barbecue sauce or whatever they call it. I know they still have that sauce but we didn't get it. it is just so embarrassing how bad they are now. it's almost like the guy gave up. I'm just shocked. utterly shocked I don't want to get into what we ordered besides ribs fries and chicken because I don't want the guy knowing exactly who it is because believe me he will know. But I can tell you this right now. I will never be going back there ever again after all these years. I don't want to hear what that guy said if you remember how good Chicken Galore was blah blah blah it is garbage now. and he is using the economy to give you the smallest chicken ever there is no doubt about that. I don't even have to ask him I know it just look at your pieces. you're better off going to KFC and I never thought I'd say that. go to boa vista go to fire pit even if you want fried chicken. if you want Fried Chicken get wings from your local Chinese place that you go to because they're better. and I never thought I would say that ever in my life. the Highlight or the french fries that are literally the same. here's the problem though I hate their french fries I don't like steak fresh but if you do they're going to be great. everything else was horrible and unbelievably expensive for what you got. I'm really really embarrassed for them but I'm never going back. Listen I don't want to do this I don't even want to put this review on here. but I have to. I haven't used Yelp in years. because I just have not gotten such bad food from some place that you thought would be good Cuz it was the same old place that you know. well the same people may be there I don't even know but all I know is that it's not the same it is much cheaper. the same stuff it looks like just much smaller cheaper and very dry. I've never expected the ribs to be anything to write home about I know that. if you want ribs go to a rib place you're not going to get them from chicken galore. but the chicken I expected it to be what Chicken Galore was and it was not and I am curious about it. so you get the bad review. Sorry guys. And I have no ax to grind with you I have no reason to ever do this what I'm saying is true. you better change something or sell to somebody who will.

Such a shame this place used to be a caring, proud family business. Recently the food that you get delivered is cold and wilted. Stick to Popeyes for your food.At least it will be hot and crispy. Chicken galore, hire people who care, Does the same family still run the restaurant?

Picked up a 24 piece bucket and large fry bucket. I am giving it a 5 since it was still a pretty damn good tasting meal. Now, I have been coming here as a kid since the 80's. It has been a good 5 years since I had some since I no longer live near town and I will say I remember it being better. I know the original owner(s) passed away and family still owns it. As far as chicken goes, I would come here over KFC/Popeyes any day, still very tasty!
