The ladies are very nice to everyone! I’ve been told about this place many times.. because of the subs! I’m going to try today! Great local place..
ares could kill, I’d be long gone. As a Black customer, I felt deeply uncomfortable being stared at continuously by an employee while waiting for my sandwich and browsing for chips. The stare was unrelenting, intrusive, and completely unprofessional. I’ve visited this store several times without issue, but this experience left me feeling singled out and unwelcome. I won’t be returning.
In a rapidly changing world it's refreshing when good things stay the same. In September 1990 I moved from Newark to Kearny and on that weekend I experienced the great subs and service at D&F deli and was very happy. 35 years later it's the same, maybe even better. I'm diabetic now so I can't enjoy bread as much as I would like but the staff is kind and make a sub salad for me. I go in the later afternoon and it's a virtual all star team that serves as the staff. Anthony, Justin, Brandon, Emily and Debi are unique wonderful human beings who make everyone feel like family. The person who helps make these individual all stars into a cohesive team of Avengers is their inspirational leader Zack. He's the straw that stirs the drink. Zack serves as a mainspring does in an old fashioned watch and keeps everything working perfectly. Zack is a very kind human being with a big heart, the size of a 6 foot sub. Highest possible recommendation for D&F deli. Go there, you'll be happy you did.

I’ve gone here plenty of times for snacks lunch drinks whatever I need. Today I was walking by with my dog and I wanted to try their Italian ice but I didn’t want to enter a food establishment with my dog so I called and asked if they’d be willing to prepare the Italian ice and take my payment at the door and they were so accommodating and friendly. The Italian ice hit the spot and the customer service was 10/10. Thank you again.

I was told by a neighbor that I had to try the sandwiches and I’m so grateful they did. The sandwiches are top notch! Definitely stop by if you are looking for a great sub!

Adequete for a quiet neighborhood . Clean and friendly. My friend has an awesome vintage and collectibles shop across the street . Just opened. Milky Vintage.! The #40 bus stops on that corner from Penn Sta . Newark.
My favorite sub in Kearny (#33). The bread and ingredients are always fresh, and the staff is so kind.

This used to be the best deli in Kearny about 15 years ago it's a shame everything there is either overpriced or expired sandwiches aren't what they used to be especially now with cheap quality meat. Dietz and Watson. I bought a can of vegetables when I got home I noticed they were expired a year ago when I went back to return them they gave me my money back after I spoke to the owner the main woman in the morning was coughing into her hands and never went to watch them even though she handles food in money the owner talk to me like he was some fake soprano mobster the funny thing is the vegetables were back on the Shelf a few days later save your money and go to a better place

I was so hungry I forgot to take pictures ?. I started going here about 18 years ago when a coworker brought me a sandwich from here, although it's been about 2 years since I was last here, I can truly say that my first bite made me close my eyes and hum a little tune til I took my next bite... It was just as I remembered the bread was so fresh and soft, I remember as a kid going to the corner store and getting a pickle out of the barrel I was surprised to see that. I just had to get a pickle. I was taken back at the prices of the sandwiches ?but everything is expensive now... Anyway it was well worth and I'll be going back again soon ??

The small chips and pretzel selection is awesome. I couldn't believe they had a small bag of pretzel rings which are hard to find. It's a nice place was happy to see it's better than ever.
