This place is walking distance from my house and was a wonderful surprise when I went this week with a confirmed regular. The mofongo is made fresh to order for each customer using the old-fashioned method of beating plantains by hand. I ordered it with fried eggs on the side, medium, which were perfectly prepared. El Pilon is a great addition to the Kearny culinary menu. A much needed in the area. Restaurant is super clean. Food is great with amazing flavor and phenomenal service. Went there on a Friday afternoon and had an amazing experience. Owner is super friendly. Keep up the great work guys. Great Dominican flavor.

I eat here from Monday-Friday for dinner everyday. The food is affordable, fresh, homemade and it tastes amazing! I even have enough to take to work the next day for lunch. The staff is also very nice. please continue to the great work!
