This place was a top 3 pizzeria in town for many many years. I understand that nothing lasts forever. I'm giving it 2 stars out of kindness. Since new ownership has taken over, I've seen the quality of food and service drop steadily. The pizzas are basically Ellios now. The ingredients they use are so cheap. What a shame. I can post a picture of my garbage can if you like, cuz that's where the last pizza I ordered belongs.

Called in an order for a "DELICIOUS" chicken parm sandwich, and that is exactly what I got! Toasted, crunchy roll, generous amount of crispy chicken and the perfect amount of cheese and sauce. Great Job!

Have ordered from here numerous times for takeout and they just can’t seem to get it right! Ask for something simple and they find away to mess it up!! If you are going to order from them just order pizza anything else you are taking a chance!! Extremely disappointed & I will not order from them again.

Workers are good they have like every drink, slices are literally mouth watering good for quick late night and stuff also for after school especially if you attend a nearby school.

I feel bad leaving this review because I've lived in kearny all my life and I've had Peters Pizza many times growing up... but today I came in to grab a quick slice for lunch and the pizza was not good at all. No flavor at all! Unfortunately I won't be coming back here again.

I ordered the fried Calamari and Chicken Francese. The Calamari was poorly done, and was clearly not fresh. It was definitely just reheated because the lemons in the dish were hot, and the top of the marinara sauce was melted. The calamari was also a little bitter and bland.The Chicken Francese was okay, nothing too bad about it. Maybe a little too salty, but not the worse Chicken Francese I’ve had.

I came inside to order a slice a pizza for my son. There was no one behind the counter but the man was sitting at the table with I’m assuming another worker and they were about to eat. He went behind the counter didn’t wash his hands and put a slice a pizza in the oven. I had to tell another worker that he should wash his hands before handling the food and I don’t want that slice. If this is being done in the customers face I can’t imagine what’s being done that we can’t see.
I usually buy from here since it’s the closest. Sometimes when ordering a pair of single slices they’ll throw in a couple heated ones, no problem I guess. When ordering large pies it’s a hit or miss. But today was the last time I buy from this place. Ordered a large pie and they made the thinnest/unfresh/heated pizza. You can see from the picture how bad it tasted. Will stop going here

Stopped by a week ago, knowing they'd sold the business and reading so-so reviews. Had not been there since Covid and that we moved about 40 minutes away - and Covid had the same effect on this business that it did so many others - and if you were a Peter's customer, please come back and patronize them again. The food is THE SAME. Same recipes, same food. One of the original owners was actually there. We had a nice conversation - I said I heard you sold the business and retired - he said yes, sold the business, and I am semi-retired. Give them a shot, especially if this was one of your old hangouts - let's keep them in business.
