I have been ordering large sushi sets from this place once a week for a long time. The restaurant is close to my home, the ingredients are fresh, and the food is generally good. That is the only reason I kept coming back.

However, they have a constant and massive problem: the waiting time they announce NEVER matches reality!!!!They consistently tell customers a time that is at least half of the actual wait. This has happened repeatedly, and I tolerated it for months.

But what happened on February 14 completely changed my opinion.
I understand it was Valentine’s Day. I understand it was busy. But if you are overloaded, be honest and give an accurate waiting time instead of misleading people.

We were told the wait would be 45 minutes to 1 hour. Fine. We were ready to wait that long. My husband went to pick up the order after one hour the maximum time they gave us. He was told it would be another 20 minutes. He waited. After those 20 minutes, nothing had changed. Our check had not even been sent to the kitchen. It was just sitting there untouched for over an hour.
Then he was told it would be another 40 minutes.

There were many delivery drivers standing there as well, complaining that they had been waiting for over an hour or even an hour and a half. This is clearly a systemic issue, not a one-time delay.
When my husband reasonably asked why the wait time had doubled and suggested at least offering free delivery or some kind of compensation for a two-hour delay instead of one hour, the administrator approached him and said: “You’ve been drinking, why are you complaining?”😡😡😡😡WHAT???!!

This is unbelievably unprofessional. On Valentine’s Day, a man cannot have two glasses of wine with his wife while waiting for sushi? He was not aggressive. He did not cause a scene. He simply questioned why the wait time was twice as long as promised.

Because of this delay, all of our evening plans were ruined. After two hours of waiting, we were angry and disappointed. By the time we finally received the order, we didn’t even want to look at the sushi anymore. It felt like wasted money and a completely ruined evening.

When he asked if they could at least offer a discount for next time, he was refused in a very disrespectful manner. No discount. No free delivery. No apology that meant anything.

As someone who also works as a DoorDash driver, I strongly advise customers not to order from this restaurant through DoorDash. Drivers regularly wait 30 minutes to over an hour past the promised pickup time. Drivers: do not accept orders from this place. You will lose time and money.
Good food does not excuse dishonesty, poor time management, and disrespectful behavior toward loyal customers.

We will never order from here again!

I ordered take out. I had the lomo with steak & shrimp. Although, this dish had more onions than steak & shrimp. That was disappointing. The fries were very oily & soft. This was not a good experience as a 1st time customer. Sushi2box, I was expecting better from you.

Worst place to bye food! Your order rushes two hours and they only have one chef! It’s took two hours to get 10 little rolls of salmon for 7 bucks, disorganized place.never sign!

Pulled Up Hungry

Awesome Peruvian Japanese fusion turning classics from Peru into sushi rolls, each presented with care. It was as much an art exhibition as it was dinner! Great flavors and the staff made everything easy and pleasant!
