I never leave reviews but i felt a bit ripped off so i wanted to inform others.
I went this past week and it was my 2nd time in months. Both visits we took our seats and waited 20 min and No one came with a menu so we were forced to go grab a menu. It also took about 40 min before our order was taken. Now add to this visit was a bit more inconvenience. Due to only having one girl waiting the tables while I'm assuming the man we seen was the owner and didn't help her at all! Poor girl was running around like a chicken tending to the tables, phone orders, making the drinks and taking all counter orders . We had to go up to pay and I was charged 75 for my bill and later on my account they reversed the charge and charged me 82! And they also automatically charge gratuity and do not inform that and I have no problem tipping I always tip very well on how well I am serviced. So be aware you will be overcharge and barely tended to.

The person that was at the counter knew I was next in line, but chose to take care of people that got there after me. I went to Arcos instead.

My wife and I are on the #eatjersey challenge to visit and have a meal in all 564 towns of NJ. We chose Vicente's Bread Kitchen & Cafe for Kearny, our 147th town.

The cafe is fast casual where you order at the counter, then the food is brought out to your table. We visited with family and sampled a variety of breakfast dishes including: The Portuguese Ham & Cheese Sandwich, Veggie Breakfast Platter, Bacon & Eggs Platter, Cranberry Muffin, Bola de Berlim (creme donut), and of course... it wouldn't be a visit to a Portuguese cafe without trying their Pastel De Nata!

Everything was great. If you're in town, definitely stop by!

The place is really nice, the service is good, but the food really lacks a lot in my opinion, plus a part of a dishwashing sponge arrived...

I placed an order from this Place online. As it turns out they didn't have the items that I ordered. They refused to cancel the order. When I tried canceling the order, I was told that I was still going to get charged. I called the restaurant back The girl I spoke to was absolutely horrendous and rude. Never ordering from here again

Came into this place to grab some lunch. The girl at the counter was pleasant but didn’t speak a word of English, she had to use a translator app just to communicate with us. I ordered the Chicken Parmesan sandwich which was on the menu and my friend ordered a Philly cheesesteak which was also on the menu. We grabbed a seat and 20 minutes later only my food came out and the girl said “no cheesesteak”. Now my friend ordered a chicken Cesar wrap. 20 minutes after that (40 minutes later) a panini creation was served to him, not what he ordered. My “chicken parm” was just a chicken cutlet with some shredded mozzarella, absolutely no sauce. The only positive was the chicken cutlet was very good. My friend got served a chicken cutlet panini with lettuce and tomato which wasn’t even what he ordered. It didn’t taste bad but that’s not the point, he didn’t order that. How can you run a business where the only employee taking orders doesn’t speak English? On a positive note the place looked nice inside and their cakes in the glass cases looked good. I wouldn’t recommend lunch here but maybe their baked goods are much better.

This place is the worst in terms of service and expensive, they do not serve you what you order and the food is cold, I do not recommend them, very bad

I ordered an Egg and Avocado sandwich To Go; I asked and PAID for bacon to be added. To my surprise, I got to my destination and realized there was no bacon in my sandwich. Needless to say, Disappointed!!

Really liked this place, the food and the ambience. It’s a little pricey but the quantity is plenty for it.
