The food is really good. Really enjoyed the ambiance as well.Prompt service.Only one thing took away from the overall experience, hence 3 stars.There were only 2 of us, yet on the check they indicated 6, so that the service charge would be added. I normally tip more than expected and was disappointed to see this.
My daughter loved the shrimp tacos that she ordered. I wasn't thrilled with my chicken chimichanga, although it did taste better the next day. The sauce on chicken wings was heavy hot sauce (not heat but taste) but tasted better with the blue cheese dressing. The guacamole was nice and fresh. I rarely add salt and there was none on table but should have requested as the chips are very lightly salted. The strawberry margarita was way too sweet, although I got used to it fairly...
I’m from Illinois, live on the border-line of Chicago (Southside) and now travel throughout the US for work..This restaurant is awesome!I did a project here for 5 months in 2021 and went here often.I was in town here this week and again stopped here and they are - as always AWESOME !I recommend the steak fajitas (which I had tonight)!I’ve been here 6+ times and always had a five-star meal and experience.Thanks El Toro Team !!!Joe SalChicago IL.
