As usual, we thoroughly enjoyed our two dinners and will continue to frequent the Kumo restaurant.

Went with my husband and son for lunch. Place was practically empty so we didn't have to wait for a table. We were sat at the hibachi table on the end, they sat a couple across from us on the other end. I had my son get up to sit closer to the middle (front of the station for the show) and they said he couldn't sit there because other people may be coming and they will take those seats. Mind you, again, the place was practically empty. Plus, if we were first, why wouldn't we have first choice? The chef came, the food was okay at best. He was kind though. A couple of staff members stood around, staring at us the whole time. And not bc they were serving us, we had a waitress. It made us uncomfortable. Overall experience was mediocre. Won't be returning for the amount of money we spent.

I came on a Saturday after work. I was really craving some takeout sushi and this was really close so I tried it. I arrived earlier than my pickup time and waited inside. It was packed! I couldnt find parking to pickup my takeout order lol, and their parking lot is pretty huge for a stand a lone building!!
It was a little loud inside, but there was live music and the bar looked nice. I also noticed though several people waiting in the lobby waiting to be seated; it took a while for the host/server to show up to ask about my meal. It was ready at the time it said it was. The packaging was very premium, down to the ramekins with the sauces and reusable bag. Sushi was spectacular and at a VERY good price... Yellowtail roll had plenty of fish. Sashimi is reasonably priced and they are generous with the pieces... unlike some places that'll have half the roll be rice.
Will be coming here again; maybe during a quieter dine-in period though, and will update my review if I decide to sit down one day.

It's a decent Japanese restaurant for the family to enjoy, especially since it is accessible to the neighborhood. The location is great. So if you live around the parameters of this restaurant, it is an easy walk.
The sushi is of good quality, and even the hibachi dinner packages come with a lot of servings. Never been to their karaoke night, but I bet you it's a whole vibe since they have a dedicated space for it and for bands to take center stage.

Manager Called Police Over All-You-Can-Eat Menu Dispute
I visited Kumo 27 Restaurant with my daughter after checking their official website, which clearly lists the All You Can Eat price as $30.99 from Monday to Thursday. Since we went on a Tuesday, we expected the restaurant to honor their published pricing.
When we arrived, the staff told us that the all-you-can-eat option was no longer available every day. We showed them the information from their own website, and the manager agreed to honor the posted price.
However, after we ordered, the restaurant brought only a small portion of what we requested. When we tried to order more — exactly as allowed by their own AYCE rules — they refused to bring additional sashimi. When we asked for clarification, the manager approached us in a very confrontational and unprofessional way.
The situation escalated unnecessarily, and the manager chose to call the police. The officers handled the situation calmly and professionally. After speaking with everyone, the owner agreed that we should only be charged $10, which we paid.
Overall, this was a stressful and disappointing experience. I hope the restaurant improves its customer service and makes sure that what is posted on their website matches what they actually offer in the restaurant.

The food was pretty good. The service was a little bit Slow. But the chef that cooked our food did an amazing job Entertaining our 5-year-old and really made him feel involved for his birthday. So shout out to the chef.

Great food and atmosphere
I have been coming here for years. The newer owner, Leon, has a passion for the place. Great sushi, great atmosphere; a place to come eat, or hang out in the lounge on Fridays for awesome Karaoke. Highly recommend. A serious good time with great food

Kumo 27 has quickly become my go-to spot for hibachi, and honestly, it’s so much better than Benihana. The food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and seasoned perfectly…you can really taste the quality in every bite!!
