Over the last 20 years, as a Keyport resident, I have spent many pleasant hours at Express Joe's (in fact, when Sunny and Ed ran the place, it was like a second home to me). I stopped by today mid morning and confirmed what I had noticed before, The owner/barista is cold and impersonal, and really seems to me to be in the wrong line of business. As I have tried to explain to me mom, who cannot understand why I would go out for coffee, coffee houses are a social phenomenon. I won't be stopping again but i did give the place 2 stars because it is neat and clean and my drink was fine.
Felicis has been preparing 2 meals a week for my family to ensure that we eat well with our busy work schedules. The menu options are different each week for us. The food is amazingly fresh, healthy and delicious. She takes such care in how she safely prepares the food. I highly recommend her services
Visited for the first time last year and I'm still talking about the delicious Carrot Ginger Soup. I wish I lived closer, but I think it's time to take the drive up again.
Update: July 2020 Espresso Joes closed.Vibe so chill , coffee so good makes you float away. I ask every coffee shop I go to, "Can I have a shot of Amaretto?". You know how many times they have it? Yeah zero times. So alas hazelnut and me continue our relationship of convenience. But at E. Joe's, ask and you shall receive ( Amaretto that is ). Aside my personal predilections, this Keyport mainstay is the stomping ground for locals and performing artists alike. They have a full calendar of hosted events, but don't fret there's lots of opportunity to avoid crowds during off hours. Bonus suggestion; request Lo Fi Hiphop at the counter stroll over to the window seating with your desired brew and melt into the view.
Food was great and homemade, reasonably price. Owner came out and explained the plates and couldn't have been more kind.
Love the staff, coffee and their pastries!
The potato pancakes and kale slaw were terrific! My husband says the kale slaw is"crack"!
This spot knows how to take care of their customers. Constantly with a super friendly approach. The food is conveniently priced, constantly flavorful and clean.
Coffee and food is great, although I have been charged different prices on numerous occasions for the same item which I find quite odd. Owner is friendly and welcoming.
Good coffee, good pastries (gluten free, vegan), good vibes- you can also hop over to enjoy sea views ✨

Loved the food! Had so many vegan and gluten free options, I found it hard to choose. Definitely going back!
I saw a band preform here and I loved the coffee and the vegan cookies I had.
Stopped in with my daughter for coffee, waited at the counter at least 3-5 minutes while 2 workers ignored us. An “I’ll be right with you guys” would have sufficed. Always try to support the local businesses first but had to walk out. Unacceptable!
Always great service and such a nice place to sit down and truly enjoy a hot chocolate with the view of the water.
Year-round cozy place, with super friendly service and... a view of the Bay.
