We had our daughter’s wedding at your establishment yesterday. All we can say is wow! Debbie runs a tight ship! So organized! All waiters were on point! Tables were always cleaned (dishes) taken away immediately. We had Nina. Cocktail hour, the appetizers were amazing. Food being brought around to the tables (non stop) all delicious! The seafood boat was worth paying extra! Such a hit! I had my daughter’s bridal shower here as well! Bar tenders were on point! Food was Amazon! We went yesterday. Entered & noticed a musty smell. Took my Mom to a function there;she enjoyed her salmon. Husband & I sat at the bar. His Coor's Light was skunked. Let the bartender know---time to clean tap! He enjoyed his broccoli cheddar soup. My she crab soup was crab less. But the soup base was tasty . Don't get the mini Reuben app. Nothing to it. I'm assuming the full dinners are much better than the apps. We did go to the Tiki bar in the summer & enjoyed it.

I have been to this restaurant many times in the past but the last two times was disappointing. First let me say the staff is wonderful, friendly and attentive. The food the past two times was disappointing. I only gave three stars because my husbands steak was great but this is the second time I got the fish platter and could not eat it. The crab stuffed flounder was rancid. This is the second time I ordered this and had the same terrible meal. You could smell that it was spoiled, but of course I tasted it as well and could not believe that it happened again. Shrimp was also old and had that fishy tang To it. Brought it to the hostess attention and she handled it immediately and got me a different meal however, the shrimp on that meal was also on its way out. I guess calling it the Captains Inn makes you think they would have fresh seafood, but I believe this restaurant is turning more towards a steakhouse, which was excellent so if you go there, beware the fish may not be good. I just don’t think people are buying it anymore.

Great food and service. A tad noisy in the dining area . Prices very reasonable. Portions large! Prime rib is excellent wth garlic mashed potatoes.
Great dock and dine along the Forked River. This visit was end of season so no crowds. Expect this place is busy during peak season. Food was good and staff was very pleasant.
