We walked into the pub and waited for a table for 4 (2 kids included). They offered us a table for my family (sat kids in high chairs and everything) and then said they were missing a chair we'd have to go dine upstairs. After waiting downstairs thinking that meant we could get a table upstairs we were ushered upstairs and asked if we had a reservation and we were turned away since we didn't. Totally disorganized, won't waste our time again.

Always enjoy eating in the pub! The cozy atmosphere, delicious drinks, and great burgers make it a go-to spot. The service was awesome, and the holiday drink menu added a festive touch. Plus, strolling around the nearby shops makes for a perfect day out. Highly recommend!

Have been here many times. The dining in the restaurant/tavern is excellent! The food is always good and the waitstaff is excellent. One waiter in particular is very friendly with my grandparent-in-laws and whenever we all go together he treats them like true royalty, and they call him their friend. You don't get that much, love to see it.

I have been coming to this restaurant since I was about 2 years old. Our family tradition was always to go cut down our Christmas Tree and then come here for lunch. We’ve since gotten a fake tree, but we keep the tradition, as well as several other trips throughout the year. We came today and had superlative food and service, as always! Gonzalo was our waiter and he’s been such a joy for all of the times we’ve visited. What a doll! Thank you for being such a special (and tasty) part of my and my family’s life and memories!

Just had my daughter’s bridal shower here at the Lafayette House and I can’t even put into words just how amazing it was. The venue is newly redone and gorgeous and still doesn’t even compare to the level of perfection of the entire staff. I truly did not have to ask for anything, the staff was on top of everything for the entire event. Let me just say something about our coordinator, Karmyn Ramirez, outstanding! Impeccable! Amazing! I could go on and on, Never have I worked with anyone this top notch, she was professional and just as excited as I was! I wish I could give 100 stars because it would be well deserved! Everything from the food, the staff, the room, the service and Karmyn were absolutely 100% top notch! Thank you ALL for making my daughters special day positively perfect!

My family and I have gone here twice now. I feel confident I can make a thoughtful review.

We went for dinner both times, both times were around 4:30-5 o'clock. Once on a week day and another on a Sunday. We ate in the upstairs main restaurant location.

The building itself is beautiful and if I ever needed a banquet hall for a lot of people in this area of New Jersey I would absolutely recommend just on it's sheer size, style, and accommodations.

Service has been on point every time. I did find the wait staff doesn't come often enough and it does take them a while to bring the check... and when you have a toddler you kind of want to eat and go. But everyone has always been very friendly, mature, and knowledgeable.

And the food - unfortunately I think this is where they lack. I'm big on seafood, especially cold platters. There oysters and shrimp are just not impressive. Definitely frozen, not plump or "sweet" at all. The calamari also is just your typical bag of frozen fried calamari. It states it's served a Fra Diavolo sauce but it's just marinara with some crushed peppers.

Will I bring my family back again? Probably not. I'd be happier and more satisfied with the Mountain House a few minutes down the road or go to Newton for more options.

Parking: Loads of parking, great for big events.

The owners need to pay there waitresses minimum wage not 2 dollars a hour how pitaful is that pay your workers minimum wage or I will report you to B. B. B and they don't fool around why do u get to live large and ur workers struggle it's not right.. Wake up and start paying ur workers or face BBB they don't fool around either.. Try me and you will see I'm not playing games here.. WHAT DOES EVERYONE THINK SHOULD THE WORKERS GET PAYED MORE THEN 2 LOUSY DOLLARS AN HOUR OR WHAT...
