My issue here was price. Just too high. I don’t blame the restaurant, they are properly priced for the crowd they are looking to attract but the menu is similar to a “Graze” in the Five Towns, minus the steak. The pizza and nachos were excellent and the steak was prepared well and served nicely. Total bill including tip was $200+ and it felt more like a $125 meal. We ordered the nachos, pizza and one steak. Two soft drinks. $200? More of an industry challenge? Not sure. I would certainly recommend. Shul nearby made a meaningful Ma’ariv a nice bonus.

Good but I do not feel justifies the price tag. Have been to a lot of good steakhouses and BBQ joints and I would not rank this establishment up with the great ones I have been to.The wait staff was very good and completely on top of things. Ambience was good and they sang for my mother's birthday along with bringing out a sparkler which was fun! Overall the staff was great besides one problem we experienced.Quick note for other people since it is not well documented: If you BYOB be very careful to only bring KOSHER. We brought in a few bottles of wine which at first seemed like it would be fine. After already pouring glasses, someone came out, looked at the bottles and told us we could not have them and actually went to take them away from us (and wanted to pour out the one we had already opened). We took the wine bottles back and packed them away in our car instead. I am ok with the rules, just wish I had known in advance! It was also stated they have kosher wines available to buy however nobody ever gave us a menu our option to actually do so.The food itself was.. ok. Appetizers were pretty good though the brisket was extremely fatty and chewy. I know brisket is usually fatty but typically its 'melt in your mouth' with that portion, and it was definitely not rendered down to that point. The steaks we got were both very fatty and over cooked. We asked for med rare on both and they were both well done. They were also not very flavorful either. We also got the smoked fried chicken which was very flavorful and a highlight for me. Others in my party unfortunately did not enjoy though as the slices had a mix of some pieces which were essentially breaded fatty chunks..The side dishes (grill veg, mashed, fries) were all very good though which was a plus!

Staff was wonderful, food was a huge disappointment. Spent a lot of money for extremely fatty beef. Brisket was barely eatable, cowboy ribeye was half meat/half fat. Never again.

Good vibes, with comfortable seating and accommodations. Waiters were great, courteous, and energetic. The Tennessee Ribeye Steak was a hit. We had a nice time there!

My wife Rosalie and I dined at Smokey Hill to celebrate our anniversary. Can't speak highly enough. Everything we ordered was delicious. We started with El Paso Chili Nachos; the tastiest we've ever eaten. Rosalie ordered Smoked Baby Lamb Chops which were outstanding (we finished them on Shabbos). I had the Dino Rib. It was delightful, both smokey and tender. We finished by sharing a Banoffee. I won't explain what it is. You just have to try it. Exceptionally good. The service was excellent with our friendly waitress explaining numerous menu items and making great recommendations. The owner/chef stopped by to greet us. Looking forward to our next visit. It was a wonderful experience.

What a nice experience at Smokey Hill! Great service, and most importantly, really great barbecue. The portions are huge and oh so tasty. Don’t be fooled by the unassuming strip center where the restaurant is located: the interior of the restaurant is classy and inviting. Great kosher food in Lakewood!

Some places you can tell they're trying too hard to look and sound fancy and upscale. Smokey Hill is authentic. They have simplicity in their food but it's classy. It has good quality food, good flavor, good ambience, and good service. Really enjoyed ourselves there!
