“We (a party of 4) had dinner last Thursday (3-7-24). We decide to select our dinner choices from the fixed-price menu being offered that evening. EVERYTHING was wonderful. In reading the other reviews, they truly reflect our own dining experience. This is going to sound a little weird, but I have found this to be true. If the restaurant proprietor (as in this case) provides a restroom facility that goes beyond just clean and tidy, I believe the same attention to detail carries over to every aspect of the restaurant, from food preparation to presentation. Truth be told, I used the facility early in the evening. I can’t speak to what it may look like at the end of a busy summer Saturday service, but its condition would reflect more on the customer comportment. Final note, I’m about an hour away, but it is well worth the drive. GREAT RESTAURANT!”

“Over the years I’ve been to every ice cream place in the area.. I’ll admit this one is the best so far. The portions, quality, cleanliness and most important the staff of kids in there are the friendliest. I’ve never seen a place where the staff at 9:30pm is so friendly, fun and upbeat to my fiancé and I. All of them need more tips and a raise. We’ll be back next time im down the shore and probably order another 4 flavors/cups to go.”

“The people at Dairy Queen are very nice but I had to pay extra for the large but I realized it is the same exact size but there just saying it’s a large but it is the same size as a medium ice cream and the large is more expensive .Dissopointing but there very nice .”

“We heard about Castaways from some friends and had to give it a try. The drinks were a little expensive but maybe because we had several and it added up. The food was better than good and my wife commented that the fish was cooked perfectly. Our waitress was prompt and courteous. It was a good time and that’s what we look for during the winter.”

“OMG. This place is fabulous. I was there for a Pidyon HaBen. They had superb apps, insane Rib-Eye & DelMonico steak and scrumptious desserts, along with open bar, slushes and ices. The tomahawk steaks looked absolutely delicious. After lunch we walked across the street to their butcher shop and purchased an incredible double cut pork chop. Just cooked that on my grill and it was fantastic!”

“Our golf group decided on the Southside deli as our lunch venue before our tee time at Lakewood CC. Don't be fooled the uninspiring curb appeal, this was a great choice! I had a delicious pastrami sandwich on fresh rye bread with cole slaw which was absolutely delicious! I will be back to try their kosher BBQ and smoked meats, plus other sandwiches and burgers.”
