Lobster Dock is a shore treasure! The crab cakes are to die for — packed with flavor and no filler. And don’t even get me started on the breakfast sandwich... hands down the best in town! Whether you’re starting your day or ending it with fresh seafood this place delivers every time. Friendly staff, great vibes, and mouthwatering bites. A must-stop when you’re down the shore!

Good food and nice service in their new Ortley Beach location.

There were no tables available so we sat at the corner of the bar. The appetizer and soup dishes just piled up to the right of me and no one picked them up for as long as we were there. A family member liked the wings and lobster roll (which I didn't try). Two of us ordered the flounder sandwich which the waitress recommended we get as "fish and chips". Unfortunately it was terrible. The fish was not crispy and the corn on the cob was tasteless. To top it off, one of the staff was spraying down the bar/table top to the right of me while I was eating.

Sat down and ordered food right away. Took 30 min to get served. We ordered 3 warm lobster rolls and chicken tenders. The lobster was gummy. Tasted like it was microwaved and fried in butter. My daughter’s chicken was also microwaved. Terrible terrible disgusting food. Will never go back.

My family and I made reservations two nights ago for 6:45pm. There were 13 of us which I understand is a large group. We arrived at our reservation time and ordered our entrees almost immediately. We proceeded to sit there and see other tables receive their food but nothing for us. Our server seemed to maybe be new and didn’t check in with us to communicate what the issue was. By 8:15pm we were all hangry and got up to leave. As we were about to get into the cars our food finally arrived. Some of us were pleased with the meal but some disappointed. I understand you will never please everyone but the whole dining experience was a very big disappointment. We then asked for the checks right as we received our food and that took our server quite a few minutes to get those out to us. And then he took them in shifts to get change, etc. which took way longer than it should have. Disappointing to say the least. Hoping they are able to improve for other groups moving forward.

We were seated with a party of 4 adults and 4 small children. It took 45 minutes for the appetizers and the children's meals to come out. When the kids burgers arrived, they were so well done, the burger was black. We sent it back and waited another 20 minutes. The main course came out another hour later. In that time, another table had the right idea and walked out. The server was friendly and accommodating, but the kitchen was a disaster. The hostess advised that a lot of people came to sit at the same time. Having worked in restaurants for a large part of my professional career, if a large group of people come in, you start a wait list to avoid the kitchen crashing. Our children were so antsy, we couldn't even finish our meal because we had to leave. The food otherwise was decent, but not worth the wait.

Came here August 13,2024. We ordered the crab dip, the sirloin steak and the lobster pot with clams, potatoes & corn. Absolutely delicious, 1 of the best meals we’ve ever had. We will definitely be back.

Friday night…initially went to Castaway Pub but the wait was over an hour so we went to Lobster Dock since we were already out and hungry. We were sat immediately (party of 4) and it took about 15 minutes to put a drink order in. For entrees we ordered a fried flounder sandwich, lobster roll, kid’s chicken tenders, and two crab pots. The food order took around 1 hour and 15 minutes to come to the table. The food was underwhelming and lacked flavor. All things considered, the experience at Lobster Dock was a terrible use of $300.

Let me tell you one thing.
My family and I bounced between restaurants for several days. This was the last shot for a decent meal. I genuinely was reluctant at first.

It took not even two seconds to fall in l9ve with not only the space, but the staff. Everyone was absolutely amazing. Our waitress Juliana was stunning. Her fun personality mixed with the stellar cuisine MADE this vacation worth while! Come here, not just for the food. But for the people.byou can tell everyone here loves their job. They are amazing and the food was worth every penny. If you get the chance to meet Juliana, tell her Christas family sent you. You'll get the best experience, I promise. Come sit, eat, have a laugh, enjoy the best damn view on the board walk and eat a bomb meal! 10 out of 10, Thank you crew for everything. That signed bucket is my favorite treasure from this trip. I'll be sure to bring it again next year to drink from!
