Very good pizza in the Trenton Tomato pie tradition. Homey, quiet, off the beaten track.

A nice home style Italian eatery. The owner engaged with almost everyone in the joint and took care of us like we were family. I ordered a chicken caesar salad, the portion was generous for the price and it was delicious.

Cozy little family joint. Servers were cordial and lively. Pizza was great and prices are reasonable.

One of our favorite local Italian places. My wife and I love the Chicken Parm Pizza, and the pasta dishes with Vodka Sauce are excellent.

Ordered catering for 60+ people for late delivery. The owner was very accommodating and made the process easy. Thank you!

Excellent food, great service, family owned! A must visit for true homemade Italian cuisine!

Always a good meal at Candela! Whether a pasta dish, pizza, burger, or other sandwich. Had a nice lentil soup today too. If you like traditional, unadulterated fries, order them here! Not steak fries, but tradition thick straight fries without salt or other seasonings; the way fries are meant to be.

Community sponsorship pays off. Candela sponsored the Lawrenceville Thursday night summer concert in the park and if it wasn't for that, we wouldn't know they existed. Glad they did because this is a great little business. We looked it up and went there for dinner. The restaurant is hidden from a prime street view, so it is easy to miss. Very friendly staff. Owner (presumably the owner) visited each table and made everyone feel welcome. Food was fantastic and reasonably priced. Pizza is among the best within a 30 mile radius (that I've tried - and I love pizza). They've figured out a perfect crust. I wish there was a bit more sauce on it - but I'll order extra sauce next time. Now that we know Candela exists in our neighborhood, we'll be back. A lot. Pro tip: when leaving, don't exit the way you entered the parking lot. Otherwise, you'll have to head down a one-way through the neighborhood.

Friendly family atmosphere! Food is fresh and delicious! Reasonably priced! Parking lot adjacent to restaurant. Congenial owner!

Food is good. Wait staff are high school kids and they do a pretty good job. The owner isn't very nice to them though. Dining area isn't very big and is in need of some updates and some fresh paint. The wallpaper looks like it came from the 60's and makes the place look dirty and dingy. It's BYOB.

My favorite local place. Their standard menu is great, but don't miss the specials!!

I has been in this place several times, food is usually good, but last Sunday (2018-05-05) we encounter some event. We ordered Margherita Pizza (Chopped plum tomatoes, basil & fresh mozzarella cheese), when it was served we found there is no basil there (so the main flavor is missing). We talked to the owner, and he said the basil is out, so there is no basil in there. Well, in that case he should told us before he made it. We were in a hurry so we do not have time to order another one. When the bill come, it come at full price, I asked owner to reduce price because one major ingredients were missing, the owner only agree to take $1.5 from the bill.

Amazing food and really one of the very few old-school Italian restaurants. The stuffed peppers were seriously the best i have had in years. Reminded me of when I was a kid. Worth the trip!
