I was really looking forward to visiting this bakery considering all the hype it's received on social media. I enjoyed my sticky bun. I ordered a cranberry muffin but received a chocolate chip one and it tasted fine. My husband said his scone was just okay. And my 8 year daughter did not like her croissant and only ate half of it. In her words, "It's the bready type, not the flaky type." Overall, it's fine as a bakery, but it's not at the same level as Balthazar Bakery in Englewood, NJ.

The Gingered Peach is a local gem filled with the very best treats, savory & sweet. The service is top notch & I love the vibe! My husband is obsessed with the banana cream pie & pudding! I hope The Peach will be in Lawrenceville for a long, long time!!

Bad management. Staff does not follow simple universal precautions. While waiting in line, noticed a guy working the cash register. Big rough looking guy with a beard wearing a hoodie over his head. Looked like he slept in his clothes and just woke up. He was handling food while handling money, and then - get this - he left the register, wiped his nose with his bare hand and then proceeded to handle baked goods. It doesn't get much better from there. The girl who took over the register was also handling food while working the register. When it was time for me to check out, she wiped her nose with her bare hand. NOT ok in any kind of retail setting. This all happened over the span of ten minutes. Imagine what it's like throughout the day? Every employee is an expression of management. It all boils down to two possibilities:
1: Either management is aware of these issues and have not resolved it. -or- 2: They are not aware of the issue.
Both equally signs of bad management.
There should be a money handler / register person who handles check out transactions without touching the food or packages. And most importantly SIMPLE UNIVERSAL PRECAUTIONS. That includes not wiping your nose or touching your face or mouth.
No excuses. It can be done. We're talking about basic awareness here.
PS: To place the blame solely on the employees is still bad management. It's on your watch. Every employee is an expression of management.
