Soy sauce crab set meal is so delicious!! I think it tastes better than Korea. Soybean paste stew, steamed egg, and boiled rice were served, and it was generous and delicious, so I really liked it.

After a year, I visited my favorite restaurant for the first time in a long time, but everything had changed. The employees I worked with all changed, and the taste and quality of the food was not the same. The stew was bland, lacking in flavor, and even the basic preparations were not done properly. The stir-fry dish didn't feel like it was freshly cooked at all and overall I felt like there was a lack of care. In particular, service was also a big problem. The staff were unfriendly and seemed to have an attitude of trying to increase sales rather than being considerate of customers. It's been a place I've been a regular for a long time, but I really don't want to recommend it in its current state.

They are famous for ssambap. First time for me but when I looked around. Every single table had ssambap on theirs. I ordered spicy pork one for two. Generous heaps of assorted fresh lettuce and greens for ssam and spicy pork cooked and served over hot stone. quickly served. Delish! I’ll def go again.
The taste is okay, but the person serving the short cut was so unfriendly that I don't want to go there again. If you're not going to serve people properly, don't you have to work in the kitchen? It's been a while since I had a very unpleasant meal.

I hate giving small, local businesses negative reviews and generally write reviews only when I have positive things say. That said, this is one of those rare occasions (quite possibly my first negative review).
If the owner of the restaurant ever reads this review, please train your servers so they know how to properly handle a situation where a customer politely informs them that your food is not done right because of whatever the reason might be (in this case, our 된장찌개 was so spicy that even my spice-loving husband couldn't handle it). We're Koreans and have had countless pots of 된장찌개 in our life time, including spicy versions.
We were promptly and condescendingly lectured by the wait staff that everyone's palate is different and next time we should ask them to remove some jalapeño peppers if we can't handle spice. 된장찌개, even the spicier versions, are NOT SUPPOSED TO BE SO SPICY IT BORDERS ON BEING INEDIBLE.
Our subsequent statements on how it was too spicy even for the spicy-food loving people like us unsurprisingly fell on deaf ears.
We did not want replacement or refund. A simple acknowledgement would've been sufficient, but no, they kept repeating everyone's palate is different and left it at that.
I must say I like their 간장게장 & 쌈밥 but sadly our family won't be returning.

I ordered a set meal with soy sauce crab and ssambap, and the set meal came with basic side dishes + stew + pork, so it was very filling!! Jeyuk has more meat than vegetables and there are a lot of different types of wraps so you can enjoy them in a variety of ways, and the owner is very friendly. I had a great time!!
Great surprise lunch destination while in town for work. Everything was absolutely delicious and the portions were hearty. Everyone at the table shared a bit of everything, it was a great experience.
