Overstaffed and understanding service. How is that possible?

My experience was ok; the male servers were very nice and friendly, but the ladies were not that much; they didn’t smile. They have already given you a tip on the 15% bill. Plus, the 3% for credit cards. Besides that, the good was good.

Ordered today for pickup. When returned home, the order was incomplete. We called and they asked us to return to the restaurant to pickup what's missing. We're not that close to just go back. This isn't the first time it happened. Check your items before leaving the premises!

I ordered the fried fish but it was a little bloody so the manager took it back and gave me carne asada on the house. It was a little disappointing but they made it better, things happen.

Late post:

We went on a February weekday (Wednesday Lunch time) and the place was clean, well decorated for Valentine's. There was a good crowd and I can see that the staff were all busy doing something work related. Our waiter was attentive and although his English was limited , he still made an attempt. The food was good- Bandeja de Paisa never disappoints. I like how this dish is consistent whether I eat it at their Hackensack location or Englewood location. For the first time I tried their calamari. It was good and I like the sweet chili sauce (an homage to my Asian routes haha). Overall a good place to eat!

We used to love this restaurant and visited it frequently. We loved their food, and service, and it was conveniently on my way home from work. My son and I often dined there with other family members who traveled an hour to meet us. I believe they changed ownership. One day, my food had a hair in it. I informed and showed the waiter, who then told the owner. The owner came over to our table and was very rude, with a defiant attitude, arguing with me about my food. It was an extremely unpleasant situation. We paid and left and have never returned. It’s a shame. I cannot longer recommend Noches de Colombia in Lincoln Park.

Not baby friendly. My sister my nephew(1year) and I just ate at this noches. Food was great and the serving sizes are great. But the waitress was extremely passive aggressive because my nephew made a little mess and drop one of the small arepas. She automatically charged herself 15% gratuity, when we were going to give her 20% because of the small mess my nephew did. But the worst part was that she slammed the clipboard with the receipt on the table and walked away shaking her head. Didn’t even say have a nice day. Very un called for .
